  1. I had my first dream about Lana last night. I was skipping and singing my gay ass through a brick tunnel while listening to the lead single. I don’t remember the lyrics but it was upbeat, tons of reverb with delicious layered vocals. She kept repeating 3 lines that punched so good. Tons of energy. It was really similar to the end of BBS “cause no one does it better!” and FIILY “California dreaming, I’ve got money on my mind” vocals. I’ve never dreamt about an unreleased song before so this was fun :hooker: oh also my dream was in black and white. It looked exactly like the W magazine shoot. Lana is penetrating the collective subconscious this era without even releasing a second of music :godlaugh:

If she does intend on a surprise release with no singles or little promo, I would imagine that her team is going to push for a decent amount of “commercial” (or bombastic:oic:) tracks

This possibility is really interesting given that we already know **some** songs on this album will be wordy, conversational, and angry. Maybe we’ll get an album that’s a solid mix between almost spoken-poetry-style-songs and Cinnamon-Girl-esque bops:brows:

The recent W mag black and white photoshoot + Jack’s “bombastic songs” (cursed) quote + Lana saying this album is conversational makes me think of an album in the vein of Black Bathing Suit. To me, BBS is very conversational and stream of consciousness — especially the chaotic, somewhat bombastic, ending. I may be delulu because BBS is my favorite Lana song in awhile but I think an experimental, upbeat album in BBS style could do really well.

  3. Imagine the album surprise drops digitally on a random Friday in June. No announcement, no song teases, no album artwork preview. I would love the experience of going into a Lana album completely blind and seeing the cover art, tracklist and listening all the way through with absolutely zero idea of what to expect

apparently the song lana teased was recorded in 2021, also someone has the song but they said ‘but i didn’t think it would be released tbh’

Recorded in 2021? Maybe we are closer to the album coming than we thought

Didn’t an insider on here say Lana was dropping a single early summer? I wonder if the W mag interview was booked and planned to be official promo for the single.

    Dreaming in No Color ????

….a play on the phrase “dreaming in technicolor” which normally denotes being wildly unrealistic. We’ve even seen her toy with this concept before in Get Free

    There’s no more chasing rainbows/

And hoping for an end to them/

    Their arches are illusions/

    Solid at first glance.”

    just an unrealistic guess lol

She did say in the W mag interview people tell her she thinks in black and white terms :judgingu3:

American Teenager reminds me of another song but I can't put my finger on it

The “Say what you want” / “I do what I want” part reminds me of “Need You Now” by Lady A

and the guitar towards the end reminds me of “More than a Feeling” by Boston lol :delicious: this album is pure perfection.

    Aesthetics for Death Never Came

    •murky, experimental

•lo-fi trip hop & dream pop influences

•stream of consciousness approach to songwriting

    Tracklist

    •Death Never Came

    •Melrose Avenue

    •God Complex (feat. Kali Uchis)

•I Wear The Ring She Left On Your Nightstand

    •Rock Candy Sweet

    •Just Lipgloss (feat. Pusha T)

    •At The Altar

    •Sunspot Fever

Claiming Just Lipgloss:flutter: love the green, blue and brown tones. They would go great with an experimental, psychedelic witchy sound. I’ve been listening to Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz a lot lately and I would love for Lana to do a 20+ track experimental vanity project apart from her record label like Miley did.

Lana released LFL when I was on vacation in Sicily. Therefore, I associate the album with the island: beaches, hot summer nights, ancient ruins, being happy and carefree- and especially 13 Beaches with the town Ragusa:

That‘s why LDR9 has to be released in September when I‘m in Australia thatshot.gif

Sorry, September is too far away for my liking :hooker: I need a rapid, tight knit rollout: lead single summer bop with high budget video surprise released middle of May along with stunning Interview Mag cover / photo shoot + in-depth interview about LDR 9 which includes the June release date. Album release exactly a month later with a trio music video short film + obscure French magazine cover with another interview where she teases LDR10 and BTIG

Is there any evidence that she’s dating Mel or is that just a guess or joke?

A joke. Mel is gay and has dated Adam Selman in the past. Of course, I don’t know his sexuality for 100% certain bc I don’t know the man but I do not think he is dating Lana. They seem to be longtime friends and maybe (hopefully) working together for the June edition of Interview magazine.

i hated it so much during NFR when we had the whole album via snippets, but I’ve missed her teasing. We’ve only gotten a TJF snippet for COCC and Arcadia for BB.

It became annoying during NFR especially because there was zero indication on when the album would be released. She did build a ton of hype that era though. I wouldn’t mind 2-3 song snippets this era but I’m not holding my breath.
