unpopular opinion: true romance is kinda overrated by charli stans but underrated by the general public. it’s a really good album and i have fond memories of listening to it when it came out but i don’t really long for another true romance type era. it’s a great album don’t get me wrong but i think her output recently has been a lot more interesting for me personally. it could just be that since it came out in middle school for me it stopped clicking with me as much.

Lucky is one of her most beautiful songs in my opinion. There are so many little details in that song that make it really shine.

Personally I would guess Naked is from late 2016 maybe early 2017 just from how much autotune is going on in the song

off topic but did anyone else listen to the new tommy cash track pussy money weed? its produced by a.g! the beat reminds me a lot of dreamer. i wonder if tommy has done more stuff with a.g and maybe even charli since he was on delicious and the out of my head remix.

Honestly I’m really fine with getting just mixtapes and don’t care much for a proper era but I can completely understand why people want an actual album with promo and visuals etc. It makes the whole stanning thing much more exciting for some people. Honestly I feel like I would be happy if she were able to at least do full out tours for these mixtapes that’s the one thing that bums me out.

Pop 2 and Number 1 Angel are here mixtapes from 2017 so definitely check them out! Also her old tumblr 2012 mixtapes are amazing too (Super Ultra and Heartbreaks & Earthquakes)

A.G is still her creative director so it's probably not over. She might not even be writing for herself so that's also important to keep in mind too. She did say she would spend the beginning of the year writing so she could be writing songs for other artists, collabs and probably a small amount for herself. Also songs can be reworked and reproduced (Blame It On Your Love for example) so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I thought I preferred N1A but I think I prefer Pop 2 just a little more tbh. Both mixtapes are incredible and compliment each other but Pop 2 is just so weird. The vocal processing is just jarring at points and the beats get so strange as well. N1A is definitely more accessible and safe but there are a lot more risks taken on Pop 2. I also listen to all of the featured artists on both tapes so I never really had that problem of there being a feature overload but that’s just me. Both tapes are great just in different ways.
