It was also such a slap in the face to dig up Blame It On Your Love as the leaked demo she chose to put on the album (not even mentioning that awful feature) while Bounce was left to rot without even the decency of getting a droplet release.

1999 and Blame It on Your Love stick out like a sore thumb and make the entire album feel disjointed - that’s my biggest issue.

I’m definitely reading too much into it, but mentioning Stay Away feels like a calculated move to come across as an og fan to Charli’s fanbase. this is my personal opinion but it reads like she doesn’t like any of her current music - specifically the album that is getting praise, and almost discredits the work she’s done since True Romance.

I know how shit works.” There’s a new verse in this version that goes, “It’s a knife when you’re finally on top … / They want to see you fall.”

I know it’s mostly jokes, but some of these artists we’re talking about that might be featured on a remix are an insane reach i think we all need to remember to trust Charli’s vision bc i really don’t think she will put out something (especially related to this album) that she doesn’t feel artistically passionate about.

We need some promo performances to make everyone forget about all the stupid rhetoric that has nothing to do with this amazing body of work.
