A bit off topic, but I’ve been making my way through Charli’s curated list of films that inspired Brat, and Party Girl is sooo good and the soundtrack is such a vibe. I 100% understand the brat inspo after watching.

From what I’ve seen Brazilians mention online, they aren’t actually wishing death on Taylor but it’s slang in the way we would say in English something like “Taylor is gagged” regardless, bringing up Taylor in conversation whenever Sympathy is a knife/Brat is mentioned is so disrespectful to the art that is about Charli’s experiences - not any other artist. Chanting at a live show is kind of crazy because the only relevance is that chart battle, and that definitely isn’t something that she gives a fuck about so it creates a fake competitive narrative which ironically is exactly what she addresses in her songs on the album.

I fucking love that punchy bass in 360 when the second chorus kicks in. It never gets old.

I think Marina’s tweet felt calculated like she thought she had to comment on the song to save face. Maybe she did genuinely think it was beautiful, but the reason to publicly post about it was for her own benefit. It makes the public think positively of her because she’s “supporting” Charli. I don’t think Charli talks to her at all and that twitter interaction is probably all it will be.

She’s been into bragging about how much she doesn’t like listening to music this era so I’m afraid we’ll have to wait until she changes her mind again before that happens

I tried listening to Melodrama but I just can’t get into it for the same reason I can’t get into a lot of Lana’s albums and that’s j***k a******f hopefully Lorde finds someone like AG for her next album so I can stan

I wonder how many artists are in between albums and are rethinking their next direction after hearing how honest the lyrics are in Brat. it feels like Charli had to be the first to be like “it’s okay to be authentic” and we’ll start seeing more trickle through pop music in the future

Kinda wild that she’s painting the wall for the release of 1 single song/remix but it just goes to show how huge of a deal that lorde remix really is if it’s true
