I fell back asleep 7 minutes before she opened it and just woke up to all these messages from my friends

    :omfg2:

She can keep it though. I don't have the patience nor the desire to bother

I kinda wish the unreleased were reworked cause even though I really like them as they are I'm not going back to them that much cause I already overplayed them years ago :icant:

When listening to the full album I don't mind them at all tho

I expected to feel that way but I'm not really overplaying the album to where it's noticeable... plus kind of fair play for a revenge album

Blue Banisters is not a magnum opus or a masterpiece, it has the same problems as UV: irregular tracklist and bad song choices (scrapping Fine China twice was the worst mistake ever). Besides that, the lyrics are sometimes too much, the transitions are not that good and there are too many sounds that don't really fit together on the same record. I love the production tho, even the weird instrumental choices like BBS/TB post choruses. I can't even totally compare it to LFL, cause, at least in BB's case, all/most of the songs range from great tracks to masterpieces (the lack of a Coachella moment is so relieving). My rate is 7/10.

wait wait wait what do you mean a coachella moment????

    No stairway to heaven slander

    Quells UVs rage

    solves HM’s dilemmas

    answers COCC’s confusion

absorbs Paradise’s vice n turns into something more sustainable and loves it out. Rests BTD’s fire and guides its hand. supports LFL’s hopes, and is stronger and wiser than NFR’s ego. WHAT A DREAM cept its better cus its real

    i fully support this

No no they’re right. They’re wonderful tracks but sound super out of place on this album imo. Even re-recorded instrumentals would’ve helped tons

tulsa jesus freak sounded out of place on cocc too kinda but still fits that album... yosemite much more so. Idk I really haven't noticed any difference in sound listening to the album on shuffle. a lot of tracks actually come off better that way

If Lana announces a blue banisters tour are there any artists you’d like to see perform with her // tour with her??? Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.

barrie / kassidy in the UK please. I am still sad they weren't there when i saw her in Manchester. I met both rob and byron while I was looking for them lol which more than made up for it. they were stuck in scotland or something and arrived the day after

Beautiful did give me slight Adele and Taylor vibes as well. The question is who or what came first, the egg or the chicken lol.

I don't know adele or taylor's music at all but the impression i got from beautiful which might be in the same wavelength is it's exactly the kind of song titled "beautiful" i'd expect from lana lol, very much how I felt in 2015 hearing "eyes of blue blue blue blue blue blue blue blue blue sun reflecting in your eyes" (freak) for the first time

Her voice does have this updated sound in that her melodies are fresh / structured differently w this album, at least on the new tracks, so overall things appear to be progressing / maturing

Finally been able to write down what I think about BB and…

Fuck this is a solid album!!! Easily top 3 of her discography.
Instant love for If You Lie Down With Me (those horns!!!! Sounds like a 30s song with that outro), Dealer (that one and The Trio are good choices to spice things up a little) and the reworked Thunder (it’s so much more emotional with those violins). Black Bathing Suit is very complex, same level as TextBook, and it’s a good thing it’s If This Is the End / Grenadine Quarantine because it’s not what I had expected at first. Sweet Carolina is cute but doesn’t dethrone Hope as her best closer IMO. Beautiful and Violets for Roses have instantly memorable melodies and are both so incredible as well.
i have yet to hear the album with good headphones, but the unchanged unreleased don’t sound that off like some said (maybe the leaks were cheap YouTube rips but not the CD?)
i thought it would be more a spring album, but it fits super well in fall. Chemtrails should have ended up like BB but it complements the new album very well.

The outro of IYLDWM is what makes it a 5/5 to me. A few parts of the album (piano playing & the horns for instance) give me this feeling of instruments being recorded inside the halls of a family house or smthn it's hard to describe but touching
