  1. OH MY :) GOD YES!!!!!!!!

    Life changing band. :poordat:

YES, it's impossible to listen to them and continue to be the same you were before knewing them.

The lyrics, the instrumentals, everything it's great and truly amazing. They weren't just a simple band, they were a true talent (especially Ian) that left an endless and eternal legacy.

  2. Interesting that she's had the lead single's video done for so long (if we assume it's the vid she shot in July). Has she ever waited this long to put something out before?

    Yes... Life Is Beautiful hahaha

Joking, she doesn't have the rights over this song (Lionsgate owns it, unfortunately).

    *Flashback to PWYC

I hope this leaks someday, it's such a shame that PWYC wasn't released as a single.

  3. Any Joy Division fan here, besides me?

They're simply amazing, it's incredible the legacy they left even though they had so little time of career (4 years only, 1976-1980). Also, Ian was a great lyricist, it's just sad that he ''walked away in silence'' 'cause depression and epilepsy were just way too hard for him to go on. He'll be missed forever, but never forgotten. I wonder what JD and him would became if he were still alive, but this, sadly, will be forever only in my thoughts.

Was thinking and would be great to hear Lana cover any song of them (New Dawn Fades, Decades, The Eternal, Love Will Tear Us Apart and Atmosphere would sound really good on her voice). What you guys think of it?

If you don't know them, do a favor to youself and listen to these (at least Unknown Pleasures, Closer and the two singles):

  4. I really, really wish Lana does an album that sounds like Ultraviolence (love that 70's rock atmosphere) and looks like a mix of BTD-Ultraviolence music videos.

Also, I hope the new album to include a song that sounds like Freak (luv that trap beats) and Salvatore (the bridge is freakin' amazing)

we need more Million Dollar Man-ish songs please  :flutter:

    Yeeeeeeees, please please please.

  5. As often tends to happen, again i'm addicted in listening to Marina's songs.

You know the problem with Marina... it keeps coming back like weeds.

I must say that Starring Role must be her best song, along with Teen Idle, Lies, Valley of the Dolls and Sex Yeah. Also, it's a shame I haven't heard the entire Froot album yet (that intro with Blue makes me switch to other album/artist) and The Family Jewels. I'll listen to then asap.

Would be pleased to see another album like Electra Heart, it's so damn good and iconic.

  6. SMG said we can expect an announcement for the next month and a half, i'm almost dying to know what they're going to announce.

I hope they say it has been picked up and will premiere late this year/beginning of 2017 or that it will head to netflix/hulu/other stream platform. I also expect they release a poster and/or teaser trailer soon, can't wait to see Kathryn back in action.

I don't get why networks are starting to adapt movies into TV shows that are supposed to go on for several seasons.

We have Rush Hour, then The Exorcist, and Scream. it's dumb

But there's a difference: in Cruel Intentions tv series we'll have SMG reprising her role as Kathryn and she's the soul of CI. So, I place my bets on this.

  7. Last year, NBC ordered a pilot based on the 1999 cult teen film and it seems it will premiere late this year.

Sarah Michelle Gellar returns as the deliciously evil Kathryn Merteuil.

    The plot:

The present-day “Cruel Intentions” reboot will center around the 16-year-old son of the late Sebastian Valmont (played by Ryan Phillippe in the film) and Annette Hargrove (originally played by Reese Witherspoon), named Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith). Upon finding his late father’s journal, Bash learns of the family legacy he didn’t know existed. In search of answers, he trades his small-town Kansas upbringing for a scholarship to the prestigious Brighton Preparatory Academy in San Francisco and soon finds himself in a world of sex, money, power and corruption he never could have imagined.

Also it follows the beautiful and cunning Kathryn Merteuil — the character played in the film by Gellar — as she vies for control of Valmont International as well as the soul of Bash Casey, the son of her step-brother, the late Sebastian Valmont (Phillippe), and Annette Hargrove (Witherspoon). Kathryn works in a youth rehabilitation movement and is also involved in a local private school. However, her quiet life is shaken with the arrival of Bash Casey, the son of the woman she wronged more than a decade ago

Reese won't return as Annette, so Kate Levering will play it.

Other characters include Kathryn's husband, Pascal Barrett (Coby Bell), and Cassidy (Samantha Logan), daughter of Naomi (Sophina Brown), Pascal's ex-wife.

Can't wait to watch it, Cruel Intentions is my fave teen film.

Some memorable quotes of the best character of the film:

  9. Was watching my Confessions Tour dvd this afternoon and thinking how great would be if it were/gets a blu-ray release.

For sure it is my favorite tour of her and it was the first one I saw (by TV only).

I really hope she comes to Brazil with her next tour (2018/2019 probably), cause I couldn't see her when she came with S&S and MDNA.

She and Lana are my favorites <3

  10. Created this post to talk about beat generation books, writers and etc.

Actually i'm reading On The Road and i'm loving it. I have plans on readinOwl from Allen Ginsberg and other Kerouac books. After readinOTR (it's the first beat book i'm ever reading) I will watch the film.

What books you guys recomend, why do you like the beat generation? Let's talk about it .

Did someone saw Kill Your Darlings? What you guys think about it? I saw it a few weeks ago and it was because of it I started reading On The Road, I was fascinated with Kerouac and Ginsberg world and I felt the need to read their books. They seemed, I don't know, so real. They kinda made a revolution at that time and I found it amazing.

''I get down to beat poetry and my jazz collection's rare, I can play most anything, i'm a brooklyn baby, i'm a brooklyn baby...''

  12. It would be cool to hear something that sounds like Freak and/or Salvatore and I would be pleased to hear something like Ultraviolence (that old rock, 70's style).

She could do some references to the beat generation too, actually i'm reading On The Road and i'm loving it. I have plans on readin Owl from Ginsberg and other Kerouac books. After readin OTR (it's the first beat book i'm ever reading) I will watch the film.
