I need Charli to feature on this track... and I’ve seen random people also basically saying the same thing on Twitter and YouTube. It’s so “POP 2” though, I love it! Awesome production...

Just think... if CTMP is still in the queue, 1999 is the calm before the storm! :defeated:

Nothing wrong with that either... I love autotune when used in the right context. Charli makes it sound awesome too. This isn’t directed towards anyone either, just like general masses, but more people need to get woke about autotune lol, like it’s not exactly the “pitch-corrector” that most people think it is. I mean if people hate pitch correction, it’s literally on most/all natural sounding vocals too, so either there’s every reason to complain about like every single recorded song ever, or none at all.
  5. The transition into the piano chords at the end of Petrichor kinda gets me emotional and I don't know why...

I mean, I knew about the Charli’s house party thing, but still... how do we really know it was a video shoot? ...and for CTMP? Like how do we KNOW? It’s all seemed like speculation to me.

Charli sounds good on that new Tommy Cash track, I just wish she had verse... but the Vroom Vroom reference tho!

How is the “PC music, year-3000, future-party banger/bop” concept “outdated” in year 2019 though? lol

Wow, Playboy Style was so different for Charli... and that switch to falsetto on the back-end of the chorus was a real serve. I literally reacted like “woah that was so good.” :defeated: lol

To be fair, it isn't Charli's fault that Boys didn't do better... she did all she could and made a very smart video, that performed even better than 1999 has in its short run so far, and for whatever reason, it didn't take off. I don't think the label even sent it to radio. Idk for sure... but I never once heard or saw it anywhere outside of YouTube or online promo. So there's some weird label politics going on here or something... I think the biggest problem with ATAP was its "safe" aesthetic and sound... there was no Charli "edge" to it. It was a party song, but too tame... like it wasn't a club ready banger ya know? And I mean, it had an interesting structure... like it was a very developed pop song, more I'd say than most, definitely good, but yeah... just... no edge. 1999 definitely has that huge "bop/banger" quality though, and it's simple and to the point.
