I didn't really like "Give Yourself a Try" until recently tbh... It's like I was expecting something "safer" for their first single I guess... but it just wasn't what I was hoping for at first... The other day though, it came on the YouTube rotation and I just listened to it for what it is and happened to really enjoy it. I think it was just an odd first single. "Love It If We Made It" and "TOOTIME..." really kinda made up for what I was hoping to hear out of them... Just great, trademark "The 1975" sorts of songs, "Sincerity..." kinda had me conflicted, but now it's whatever... and now this new one was great from first listen. I definitely feel like they're making some odd production choices though at times, just for the sake of it, and I know it's kinda putting me off at first. A friend of mine also, he's picking up on it... but he's even more upset about it than I am.

So many bops and bangers in that setlist...

Ummm, I just had Entertainment Tonight on the TV running in the background and they literally just sent the show out with Charli!! Playing clips of the 1999 video! So cool... she’s back on top! :defeated:

Wow and that stage production!! Looks a little bit better than the U.S. tour!

Nahh, they're one of the great bands of our time IMO! It’s not their fault that loads of teenage girls can’t control themselves over them. I mean yeah, from the outside, it’s not a great look or whatever... the crazed teenage fangirl thing is cringey/annoying, but that doesn’t detract from the quality of what they’re doing as a band and as musicians/artists. I certainly don’t let it. It’d be interesting to hear Matty and Charli trade off... It’s hard to imagine what it’d sound like tbh.

Charli just tweeted that she wants to work with The 1975... YESSSS QUEEN!!

Why is Charli so cool? Ughh, what a lady... :flutter: lol https://twitter.com/bbcr1/status/1052233744231395328?s=21

Charles never promos in the States... Can’t say I blame her though... Aussies have taste lol.

No Angel is, all things considered, a top 5 Charli song of all time. Maybe top 3... She should include it in the tracklisting of a label-backed, major album release IMO... it’s a definite “album track” for sure and deserves that push.

”L.A... A.G. (A.G.!!!!!!)” :defeated: lol Gets me every time...

Legitimately one of the coolest synth tones/drops I’ve heard! I saw this earlier today and just realized what this was from...

Nearly 3 mil... a million per day? Not bad, not bad at all!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyaHjtAr960 This is a great song, but the half-drunk sounding drum beat is somewhat distracting and feels like it's just doing it for the sake of doing something different or offbeat... and this is coming from a drummer lol. I think I get what it's going for, but it almost seems to lack structure and finesse. The more I listen to it, I guess I get used to it... but just a minor gripe. I've heard rumors of a new single this week possibly though. Really liking the collab on "Narcissist" with No Rome as well.

As much as she is serving LOOKS all throughout the 1999 video, I think Charli in the first 15 seconds (or so) is my favorite... It just captures Charli as the "queen of the clubs" and the queen of Mercedes Benz so well, like we all know she is! :defeated:

Charli Spice is my favorite Spice Girl...

".....get that doo-OO-oo-OO-oo-OO-oo-OOUGH!"

The white Mercedes in the 1999 video... she did that on purpose didn't she? Btw... 2M views!!!

I was really into those kinds of bands through my high school years and a lot of them I can still go back to and enjoy... Blink-182... also Bloc Party, an alternative/indie band from London, England, was a big "high school" band for me. Really loved their Silent Alarm and A Weekend in the City albums, then after that they kinda fell off IMO. More recently though in the last couple of years, I haven't been as into Blink-182 either, after they kicked out Tom. It just isn't the same without him.
