touch the ceiling! touch the ground!

I get those vibes... similar sound, like they could be on the same album, but 1999 has the more upbeat, dance feel... 2 sides of the same coin.
-
It's kinda got those offbeat, PC-style "shimmering/glossy" effects scattered through-out too... it almost sounds like a middle-ground of N1A and POP 2, IMO.
-
Still don't get why some people don't seem to see the hype around RNR... It's so melodic and fun. And the drops and that ambient bridge... Ughhh, it's GREAT.
-
I'd argue that 1999 fits the concept of what XCX3 was always supposed to be... it's got that big, commercialized PC Music flavor. Like people were saying how CTMP would fit perfectly alongside this and I'd tend to agree. ...it still could be coming angels! :defeated:

She can’t help that a bunch of negative Nancy’s on the internet made a fuss about the legendary Bounce... People need to open up their minds a bit huh? Bounce is pure fun.
-
“...take a ride to my old neighborhood, I just wanna GO BACKKK.....”
-
........well that’s dumb lol.
-
Woooww, true innovation... :defeated:

Maybe they’ll delay the video a bit just to prolong the buzz of the track, ya know? If there even is one...

Charli pop legend... :defeated:
-
Seeing her live in Detroit with Bleachers in 2015... Also just recently, the whole club literally ERUPTING to “I Love It” at Hakkasan: MGM Grand... it was at that point when I knew that Charles is indeed a legend! I don’t accept gifts though lol, already purchased and streaming 1999... just wanted to comment.
-
Wow! Great news... Charli cracked the top 40! ...and 30.
-
I wouldn’t say that... I mean, Charli doesn’t have to be putting out Vroom Vroom-type, weird, progressive future-pop stuff to “change the pop landscape”... With stuff like 1999, it SORTA has that super toned back clubby, PC Music feel, but the main point is like, she’s just making cool pop music. It’s not exactly ground-breaking, but she’s putting that little bit of extra focus on doing something different with the production, and she does her thing. That hook on 1999 is honestly pretty unique IMO. It kinda has a different flow... and the way it repeats with the “Take a ride to my old neighborhood. I just wanna go back...” it’s different. Like it’s pop music, without being generic. Most pop is super formulaic and Charli isn’t afraid to stray from that, or challenge the industry in that regard, and that’s why she’s “changing pop.” Now the “Vroom Vroom/mixtape” Charli... that’s where the legend jumps out lol and she’s really doing something out there and cutting edge. That’s like Charli unfiltered, but she still brings that creative side to her mainstream stuff too. She does what she wants, sticks to her vision, shakes up the formula, and that’s what makes her the “innovator.”

That synth bass is dirtyyy in 1999. It sounds GOOD... Groovy...
-
Ahem... there is a serious lack of Good Girls and Waterfall...
-
I was just about to say something... I'm not too sure how to interpret that! Either she's got something big in store where she reaches the next level, or she's going to headline smaller shows along the lines of the POP 2/club gigs... I hope she's still planning on going strong either way. I'd hate to see her disappear...

I was literally posting about it yesterday lol
-
That bouncy synth line that goes throughout the song.... :defeated:
-
I never listened to the demo, and you’ll never guess... I. HAVE. NO. DISAPPOINTMENTS. Funny how that works huh??
-
What if Charles released a double album??
-
That green pic looks like a really good monthly drop cover for Bounce! :flutter:

”Come on over and spend it.... ...come on over and spend it, spend it!” :defeated:
