There’s a reason why though... Atlantic never pushed any of these songs to radio, nor were any of these songs promoted on the Reputation tour. They had a limited reach/platform. I feel like if Charli was shoved down people’s throats like all the pop queen bees, she COULD be on the same level. People kinda just consume what they’re fed, as far as top 40 pop is concerned and Atlantic isn’t feeding Charli to the masses. Seems like the most they did was pay a few media outlets to host a few articles here and there, from the looks of it... idk how all that promo works lol.

The new version of No Angel was unexpected though all-round, so it took a few listens to get used to. As far as GNO, people felt it kinda just works better slightly faster, which was due to people getting used to hearing it that way live. And considering CTMP has never been played live, there are no such expectations, only that a higher quality version will release at some point... so idk, I’m not seeing the issue here.

Imagining an alternate reality where Charli signed to The 1975’s label Dirty Hit... It’s kinda cool how Charli featured Jay Park on POP2 right, then more recently he’s sampled on No Rome’s “Narcissist” (feat. The 1975)... it’s almost like my two favorite U.K. pop acts are curating an alt-pop universe all their own, ironically comprised of similar taste, influences and sensibilities, and even alternative figures/artists themselves... :defeated: And the potential collaborations!

This often overlooked bop right here... This was probably like my favorite "era" of hers so far, when Vroom Vroom had just come out, and she started debuting RNR and Up and Down, and soon after Roll With Me, Taxi, and No Angel were played for the first time... like I just don't understand how these tracks either took forever, or just flat-out never came out. I mean collectively these tracks could've fit together on a mixtape or Vroom Vroom Recordings project. And I mean, if Atlantic "had her figured out" at the time, like they seem to now or whatever, and now she can just quickly release tracks like Focus and whatnot... man... we likely would've had RNR and some of the other unreleased tracks long ago. Ughh, idk... what could've been...

Totally... the vocals sound extremely “bare” compared to the Exchange LA show, where they had like a reverb effect on them or something, but maybe it was just the room acoustics? Idk... Definitely liked that “reverby” sound though. Actually it almost sounded like similar vocal production to Trophy, just not as exaggerated.

I was LIVING... ‘bout to do it all again tonight too lol. It was cool seeing the squad and really, the whole club, raging and shouting along to Charli’s song... like it seriously got wild, not even kidding.

Alright I need to tell all of The angels here about my experience last night... drove from LA to Vegas yesterday with some friends and we hit up one of clubs on the strip. The club was all fun and cool for a while, got a few drinks in us, went down to the dancefloor and a ways into the set, we’re all just having fun, w/e... THEN... this SUPER dope, hard, clubby remix of “I Love It” comes on, and it was like THE moment of the ENTIRE set, where like if you weren’t going hard before, you were NOW ya know? I look over, and by this time, everyone in my group is buttery smooth lol... like we’re all feeling GOOD... and the energy of the whole place just jumped to a new level! Not just us but the whole club! The steam blasters start shooting off onto the dancefloor on every drop... My group was definitely going harder, the CLUB was going harder and LOUDER! I just start shouting all the words and going crazy... like I’ve never partied harder. :defeated: ...it’s Charli-baby!!! Her music just brings some kind of party animal out of me, and evidently all of us at that club too... everyone was going absolutely insane lol it was amazing. Got into my room at 4 in the morning... woke up... DEAD. What a night!
