to be more specific, someone popping on forums/Twitter/whatever for no reason other than to write posts like "ouuu X's unannounced project is so good"/"Y has a surprise coming"/"[insert baseless song info here]" is attention-seeking at best

I don't understand the whole "the re-recordings suck! I'm not listening to them" thing... You're just blinded by nostalgia. The re-records are not substantially different, and you'll forget the differences once you're used to them

and what do Lana/Melanie have in common beyond the early-career "glorifying pedophilia" claim? (which doesn't even count, since Melanie flatout did do it)
idk why people are being so dismissive of Ayesha in this thread, she had a huge impact on the bubblegum bass/hyperpop side of things w/ artists like Slayyyter; yeah the idea of her collabing with Lana is fucking absurd from a music POV but these comments ain't it

Taylor running away with her re-records as the original era is destroyed before her own eyes
Also she's insane for the Taylor Lautner cameo, love her

People assumed that initially, but an interview was found where Marina said that she wrote 15 songs and picked 14 to record. There isn't another 15th track that we know of, so it's more likely that she decided to swap Control for Forget after the initial recording list was written

Like were they home demos she never took to the studio? Is Control just a laptop demo? What other songs could she possibly have thought about including? Anything with Dan Dare?
Disconnect, True Colours, Hungry, Saviour would've made 4 finished(ish) songs, and then Control remains as the only confirmed Froot outtake she didn't studio record

it's so crazy that a notebook title & tracklist + leak album metadata combined are "we don't know what it is; it could be anything, no proof"
Is there something gained from being a Tropico denier? Do you get paid to do it? idgi, why is this a continued argument

Charli XCX
in Music
I feel like Atlantic would've felt more comfortable about XCX (album) if she swapped out Bounce for ILY2, instead of yk performing Bounce on national TV as if it were a rational single option for an album that is barely similar to it & that is wholly more radio-friendly than it
80% sure I've made this post before but I'm making it again

Ppl who were obsessed w a YouTuber at a point in their lives to the point of being in their inner fan circle group chat are ppl who 1. Are WEIRD. And 2. Will lie etc to support any sort of notion that will gain them support (they r like internet groupies)
Saying this on a forum dedicated to stanning Lana Del Rey and unintentionally Charli XCX, wherein a good chunk of users have either done something illegal or otherwise been obsessive, is kinda crazy I know damn well that if Lana made a similar (well not similar but you get what I mean) group chat, 99.9% of users here would jump at the chance for access. That's not the point, though. Colleen took advantage of children that were fans of her and formed/encouraged an inappropriate dynamic. She deserves the repercussions. Blaming the literal children (at the time) that were in a group with her for growing up and speaking out is incredibly bizarre.

Why is everyone victim-blaming Adam here? is it internalized homophobia because he's fem-twinkish? what is it?
He's reiterated numerous times that he didn't even want to talk about this situation in the first place, but that he was thrust into this position by another fan who wanted personal revenge against Colleen and made a video exposing that relationship. He's also said multiple times that he would stop talking about it if Colleen apologized for her actions, which she obviously hasn't.
Also worth mentioning is that he's not the only one talking about this stuff. Everyone from that group chat has been coming forward. Adam is just someone who was affected most by it, and he's the one who has a decently sized platform on YouTube, so it makes sense that he's talking.

girl what are you talking about
Charli definitely hasn't shyed away from H&M music (writing Senorita, demoing Rare and The Middle, releasing Beg For You) and it's not like the self-parodying cunty dance songs she spits out on occasion (Hot In It, Hot Girl, Speed Drive) are rich in 'sonic color and texture'. That's not to say that she's bad or even that most of those songs are bad, but your take reads more like "I love Charli and hate Gaga" pretending to have a justification that doesn't exist
