  1. I love him, I bought tickets when he came to Detroit, but I got the dates mixed up and my friend and I waited 3 hours for the show on the day after it happened

  2. So, I've been meaning to make this post for about a year now and I'm finally getting around to it.

Starz had this AMAZING, but incredibly under appreciated  show called Magic City for a while. I've never met anyone else who knew it, but it was the only show I watched religiously. I actually waited with baited breath for every episode. It takes place in Miami, 1959 and it's absolutely beautiful. I think Lana would have loved it. It's about this guy who runs a hotel, gangsters, prostitutes, dancers, drugs, sex, illegal weapons deals, Ike's family, gambling, the Cuban revolution and a whole slew of other things. It's really beautiful to look at, but at the same time there's so much dark stuff happening. The second season got a hell of a lot more interesting.

Give both trailers a watch. It's really worth it.

You can even see the first episode here:

I'd love to have people to talk about this show with, let us know what you think.

  3. Okay, Guys, my friend is an audiophile and he has this $500 vacuums tube based amplifier for headphones, and he wanted to demonstrate it to me and I played Damn You through it. Let me tell you, it's a religious experience. The "Oh my god" is absolutely emotionally devastating.

  4. She was amazing in Detroit. Didn't even restart a song once. she was sick, but she pulled off an incredible show. I bought a Bangerz ticket just to see her again. I'll probably leave after her.

Fatal Jamz is this phenomenal band that opened for Sky Ferreira/Smith Westerns at three concerts, but almost stole the show. They're like a modern day mix of Nirvana, Queen, & The Alan Parsons Project. They have massive stage presence, they're eccentric, enigmatic, and unapologetic, they embody the spirit of Rock and Roll in every way. It's like they came right out of the 80s. White Porsche Cabriolet is my favorite song by them that has currently been released, but they have a new LP on the way with a great track called Pale Pink Rose on it.

Check them out if you're looking for some fresh new music to listen to!

  6. Is there like, a tumblr master post of her stuff or something? I've liked her for a while, but I've had a very hard time tracking down her unreleased tracks. Her cover of Some Like It Hot is flawless btw, although the rapper's part is a bit disrespectful.

  7. Have you guys heard the Sir Johnny DANGER (her keyboard player) remix of YNTO?

I love it, I'm not usually one for remixes either. I've been listening to it for about a month and it occurred to me that it may not have been posted here. I kinda stan for Sky's entire band almost as much as her...

  8. I believe she has a thing for Pontiac Fieros. Several of her homemade videos feature them. It's become a VERY affordable car (I picked one up for $50 when I was in the 7th grade) so it's very possible that she owned one in the Lizzy days. It's a pretty cool car as well, its engine is located behind the passengers.
