(Shades Of Cool) The Automobiles Of Lana Del Rey

Anyone know anything about the red car she refers to twice? -
@@TMCBryan I'm so jealous. What's she like in person?

@@Freaky Rockshow Right, You'd think she'd want to have more big names like his on the album. Not to mention how good the song is.

@@Jack I thought it was a pretty good album. A few of the tracks are borderline, but I love most of it. I think there are quite a few tracks that got shelved when she changed the album's name if I'm not mistaken. Those would probably have been more along the lines of Invisible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVeqYzgahUY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVVrT_wNw_Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToOFtvvFGGo I was kind of stunned that this artist didn't have a thread already, so I took matters into my own hands. I don't know all that much about her so hopefully this isn't an atrocity. I discovered her a really long time ago, not really sure how, but she's phenomenal. Her music has even been described as "Bubble Gum Lana Del Rey". She released her first album, Like Blood Like Honey in 2006 under the name Holly Brook. It didn't seem to garner much attention, though it's still on iTunes. She's written quite a few hit songs since then, never for herself though. Eminem's Love The Way You Lie was penned by her. She recorded a really great EP called O'Dark:Thirty in 2010. Later that year she changed her name to Skylar Grey. She got connected with Eminem somehow and Even though her music is more on the folk side of things, the two have worked together several times (I'm not really a fan of this work). Her first Studio album under the new name was originally titled Invinsible but it ended up being called Don't Look Down. It's a really solid album, save for a few tracks. I'd definitely recommend buying it. It's very multifaceted though generally on the sadder side with folk vocals and almost hip hop beats. The lyrics are nothing short of incredible and very daring at times, She even throws in an occasional Unabomber reference. Her unreleased track with Marilyn Manson is also quite interesting. She's definitely worth checking out.

Meet me in Vegas. @@getdrunk Thank you so much! -
Willy Moon is perfect, I've been a fan for quite a while now. I've always though he and Lana would be great together. His new video couldn't be better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEHAkbOddu0&feature=c4-overview&list=UUV3AclqeVzkVxQrs3UiGufA

I would spontaneously combust if she and Willy Moon did a cover of Let's Make Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB_giBMO23g Also Peggy Lee's Is That All There Is? Mostly because it reminds me of TOSTB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe9kKf7SHco Perhaps most of all I'd like her to cover Rachel Sweet's Wildwood Saloon http://youtu.be/q6oJob9aKYs

It wouldn't let me vote for some reason... -

Lana Del Rey Shooting New Short Film, "Tropico"
FirstSpider replied to TIARNZUS's topic in New Releases
The other comments are right. that is a Bel Air. I wrote a bit about it in my Automobiles of Lana Del Rey thread. As far as Bel Airs go, this is not a real well known car, the 1955-5& are the Iconic ones, the earlier models are pretty much forgotten. I think it definitely adds some credit to the possibility of this being Bel Air. -

Here she is with the Jag XK I believe is hers. http://picpaste.com/tumblr_mi1ojvBWH81rap3iro1_1280-5EWH79VU.jpg I hadn't seen the Hennessey Venom pics. I like that she's looking at the undercarriage, it kinda looks like she might actually know a thing or two about cars, which is definitely a plus for me, and if that's the case I Love that she likes the Fiero. -

She definitely has the aforementioned SL class, I have several photos of her with a Jaguar XK. It's probably hers. Jaguar would have given her a complementary F-Type as well, that's how promotion deals almost always work in the auto industry. -
I watched the whole video...what am I doing with my life? Am I the only one who kind of wants to do this now?...
