I'm disappointed mostly due to me expecting the hook for new shapes to be an interlude for a better song, rather than an actual chorus that sounds extremely ill-fitting. Seriously, who thought the drums sounded good? The vocal melody and the beat are clashing so hard.

I’m surprised at how Charli seems more upset by the album and single covers leaking than she did when Good Ones (the song) leaked a month early. Not to say she isn’t WELL within her right to be upset and even angry, but I just assumed Good Ones was the “big” single and everything after had less stakes. My best guess is it being because she worries more about how she might look in front of her collaborators (chris/caro/DCA) than she does her solo material leaking… At least that’s what I gathered from when she spoke about XCX World.

This feels sacrilegious to say but I really don't get the hype for her early electropop stuff. There are a few good songs but the production coupled with Sky's younger singing and affectation really gives the songs a cheap pop feel.

This is especially true for charli because all her leakers know/hate/have fucked each other. They really give me naruto vs sasuke!

I don't care for Halsey or her music but saying "most people have never heard of Halsey" is an insanely untrue statement. She's been having hits (solo or collabs) for years at this point and has been incredibly profitable. Closer is one of the biggest songs of all time. I just checked and she's #36 on spotify with a "flop" self-indulgent album. I get that Halsey is easily unlikeable, but she's known within most circles. She was even big enough in 2018 for BTS, one of the biggest acts in music, to have her help them break into the US market.
