yall need to stop comparing it to her past works.. yall should know by now,,,,, marina isn't make Electra 2.0, FROOT 2.0, or TFJ 2.0 anytime soon. People bitched at her after releasing Electra and it sounded nothing like TFJ, and FROOT sounding nothing like Electra. Marina does something different for each album. she changed the process. it's not going to be the same. you can still not like it, just give other reasons than "iT DoeSN'T SOunD lIke ELeCtRA/FrOOt/tFj" the lyrics aren't going to be the same, the sound isn't going to be the same.

the difference is the central meaning of love / fear - she probably based releasing them differently (possibly even the whole concept) off of that poem she recited about not being able to experience love and fear at the same time. She doesn't want us to get love and fear at the same time because to her, it doesn't make sense.
