  1. Lana is not infallible and rightfully deserved some of the pushback she got for microaggressions and putting her foot in her mouth this past year, but I agree, the reviews should focus on the music and not her past or persona.
  2. The Sputnik review isn't that bad, but I VERY much disagree in their sudden revelation that BTD spoke towards toxic masculinity in a contradictory self empowerment way. Stop with the revisionist history just because you're upset with her recent controversies, understandably. That is NOT what most people thought about Born to Die when it came out.
  3. The fact of the matter is that people use good reviews to defend albums that they like, and bad reviews to trash albums or call it a failure even if they themselves like the record deep down. She is a polarising artist and music in general is subjective. Form your own opinions instead of being a follower.
  4. Can you please just take a breather? You care way too much about what other people think about the music
  5. Lana could compose Beethoven's symphonies, but Beethoven could never compose "Not All Who Wander are Lost."
  6. I'm glad she's slowly shedding away the people who use her commercial success to live vicariously for some silly stan war honestly
  7. She didn't promote the album at all and the lyrical themes include her being tired of the fame and wanting to go back to the days where she can be wild and make music for little to nothing What's the big deal?
  8. Why is this almost the opposite of how I thought I thought Wild at Heart and Tulsa Jesus Freak would be at the top and Yosemite + BUS would be at the bottom
  9. At first I thought that the album tracklist was a bit off. But now I can't see it ordered any other way.
  10. Ajay usually uploads their reactions for Friday releases on Saturday, so I hope to wake up to her Chemtrails video!!
  11. I see Chemtrails over the Country Club being an extension of "SportCruiser," in a way. I wonder what kind of poem we'll read in Behind the Iron Gates that influences her next record.
  12. giving me "For Free sounds like it could be a Joni Mitchell outtake" vibes
  13. 1. Not All Who Wander are Lost 2. Yosemite 3. White Dress 4. Dark But Just a Game 5. Wild at Heart 6. Chemtrails over the Country Club 7. Tulsa Jesus Freak 8. Let Me Love You Like a Woman 9. Dance Till We Die 10. For Free 11. Breaking Up Slowly 10/10, A+ though
