    havana by camila didn't become a hit until months after it was released. 1999 is still climbing charts... we have a chance :defeated:

    we can only hope but 1999 has yet to re-enter the overall chart on the US, like, top 200... but yeah, i remember that lights by ellie goulding had a massive promo in the us but only peaked #2 like 3 or 4 months later lol

     

    but i'm moreso """annoyed""" bc i wish she moved on from 1999 already, but i know it's not the right thing to do, she's slowing the pace and that's fine

    but for what is worth, 1999 is doing just fine on spotify aus and uk

    I may be overreacting but I felt like this performance was so much more about Troye than Charli. Both were great but idk... also the way Fallon not even when interviewing Troye mentioned Charli during the 1999 questions... it just wasn't it for me. But thank the stars we had promo right?

    i can see it coming with grimes since she works on a "fast pace" as in if you're available that week, she already has laid the vocals and the beat is done

    but i don't see it with sky, it would take 7-8 years for the song to be produced  :toofunny:

    Yes! Exactly thank you, I knew a queen spoke out about it but I couldn't for the life of me remember which one. It feels so unfair and just so lame and nasty. They're probably still going to be iconique, I trust Monique on that, but it makes the show feel scripted and I don't like it. Poor queens. I also seem to remember that Latrice said no several times at first but then, to my big pleasure, finally caved in :D I love her, I can't wait for the memes

    Yes, Latrice said she was invited for AS3 but declined so I'm happy she accepted the offer for AS4. Can't wait to see her interact with the other girls like Naomi, Val, Monet...

    Yeah honestly, if I remember correctly, the queens are contractually obligated to appear in the show if it's three years after their seasons. Which makes me feel like even if they didn't wanted to come back Monét and Monique didn't had a choice. Which feels like a low blow from the damn producers. It's not fair. Manila has been screaming on every roof since AS1 that she wanted another chance and I'm pretty sure she's coming at the least prepared. Yes I'm rooting for her but I don't want her to win by default :(

    Ginger said on reddit that she was obligated to be on AS2 even though she felt like she wasn't ready for it yet/just coming out of the loss. I don't worry about Monet but I do worry about Monique bc she doesn't have the network that Monet has for costumes, shoes, props etc. I feel like they could've made her wait a bit more.

    IMO she pushed it far enough, and I think it's time to move on while there's still hype and while she's on the spotlight. Oh well, it's just me, looks like charts are important. Go 1999, yay.

    as far as promo, she (atlantic) haven't done enough especially in the UK, where the song has the most attention and could be a top 10 hit

    but i also agree with you guys, i'm tired of 1999 already

    honestly i'm throwing every expectation or hope away bc honestly i don't think we're gonna get full project out of 1999 even though charli has enough material to not only an album, but two or three, whatever... i just want to jump into a hole and get out when she releases another compilation of songs (since i can't call it a mixtape or a album lol)

    It could happen? She obviously doesn’t like the leaks of new music, so why do people keep pushing this “it’s scrapped so leak it” thing, without even knowing for sure if it’s actually scrapped. Everyone was so sure about Taxi being scrapped, but she basically confirmed that Sophie’s gonna release it.

    I see your point but it just doesn't feel right when it comes to songs like P4U. It doesn't compare to Taxi, for instance, Taxi was once on a album draft, was performed live etc. That never happened with P4U, all we have are recordings/videos of A.G. playing it and no other info to back up. A few days ago we were talking if the song was Charli's or AG's - that's how much we know about it. I honestly can't see a song like P4U being pitched to another artist, not even if hell freezes over. Yeah, she didn't said 'it's scrapped i'm not working on it' but her attitude - i feel - answering that question was a low blow 'oh, i THINK the song already leaked so i just gave up on it'...  :facepalm:

    slayyyter is a very small, independent artist and petty schemes like this can really damage her career. she didn’t overreact, trolls took it way too far. get a grip.

    omg why people would do this to her? like you said, she's a small independent artist trying to make her living, she shouldn't have that much haters/trolls to begin with
