  1. soon enough we'll see jack antonoff working with ariana grande, dua lipa, billie eilish, and lady gaga
  2. i think it's mostly just appreciating what we have and finding things that we like about it, obviously a professional single/album cover, or something that's better edited, would be ideal, but we have a very... unique single/album cover, yet it's not entirely terrible, for example, the little details such as the "bruises" and the distorted filters, and it is a very beautiful selfie
  3. i absolutely love her glasses, she looks radient & gorgeous <3 @new gods i love your profile pic!
  4. banned for being located inside a video game
  5. there's no light in her eyes either, i definitely think the differences in the single covers (the bruises, the distorted filter) are intentional, queen of trolling AND subtle artistic statements
  6. wow this is actually kinda eerie, her horror album is actually coming
  7. manifesting yeehaw rural midwest hawaiian glam metal psychedelia surf noir space rock desert rock catholic psychedelic synth folk hollywood sadcore lo-fi hiphop baroque pop naturistic witchy y2k heavy metal hyper-pop country grunge bubblegum synth retro dance pop rock candy sweet
  8. she also referenced it in "fuck it i love you"! and with possible two cover albums being recorded... it's more likely than you think
  9. omg i actually really like this! it definitely fits the midwest, blues-country inspired vibe she's been doing, i think something like "california dreamin" would be really cool, a little more upbeat but still undeniably vintage, and a little unsettling also when i clicked on this video so i could embed it i got a gucci guilty ad, it's a sign
  10. i think they're cute as well, i think they look bad because the photos are lq, but i kinda like the amateur look @cru3lworld thank you!
  11. i like these! they remind me of this promotional artwork for "fade into you" by mazzy star! nostalgic, simplistic... a little elusive...
  12. lana planning her revenge with eerie picsart selfie covers
  13. she is the ultimate troll, she truly is our queen mother
  14. the honeymoon erasure is obvious we know the truth!
  15. looks cute! but i still don't know why honeymoon has the btd album cover
  16. maybe the olivia rodrigo stans should leak some random lana del rey songs to distract us from this conversation
  17. i think some people are unnecessarily hateful towards her, but just because she's young & successful, and can write her own songs, doesn't mean she's free from criticism, some people think her music isn't very interesting and the fact that she became a huge star overnight makes people feel like she's an industry plant or her growth wasn't organic and a lot of people don't like that
  18. influencing all of the alt. & pop girls from 2011-2021 & beyond
  19. i'm not sure, i get the feeling she couldn't care less about lorde & marina at this point, but like we all say, we never know for sure with lana
  20. i'm not a lana del rey historian regarding the video games era but wasn't the only reason why people thought she was inauthetic and an industry plant because she made a homemade music video when she was under a label and because she had a different aesthetic in her earlier career? it's such a reach and it really shows how she's treated unfairly by the media and the general public, anybody who's beyond a casual fan will know that she's always made homemade videos, she didn't even have the budget for a proper music video at the time, and although her image was quite different from the lizzy grant era to the modern lana del rey era, i think her intricate & melancholic vibe has always been a constant, it's even present in her may jailer era
  21. i don't personally dislike or have a problem with olivia rodrigo, yet i don't have any interest in her music she really became a massive pop star overnight, i highly doubt her growth/success was 100% organic, i really don't have any interest in today's pop music so i don't have any reason to think that her music is really any different
  22. i don't really get how billie eilish is considered alternative, her music is basically very stripped-down pop and it's very mainstream-friendly, she's extremely popular because her music is fit for a large audience, lana's music & lyricism doesn't fit the mainstream and songs like "ultraviolence" could never fit that audience
  23. damn the past few hours this thread only got two replies
