last night I was driving around with the windows down and blasting Sweet Spot. big fucking mood lol

ok late chiming in but I just wanna say, I kinda doubted whether I would like BIOYL but I fucking love this song, she killed it the ppl comparing to Track 10 and complaining are pissing me off, I love Track 10 to death but it's apples and oranges. Track 10 is a weird experimental futuristic journey and this is a fun summer pop anthem, they accomplish totally different goals, theres no reason that we have to compare them that way. Different songs for different situations also, it's really cool that I already love this melody and these lyrics but I get to hear them presented in a different context that achieves a different feeling. Like Track 10's structure is way longer and convoluted, but I love the feeling of the straightforward verse/chorus structure in BIOYL and the vocal melody leading up into the drop is super satisfying. Im really happy for Charli that she finally got to release this song and that we all get to hear it in its fully realized form. And so fucking happy that the new era can finally begin

if the lyrics in the chorus are the same as Track 10 then the radio edit is gonna be a mess lmao

^yeah im wondering as well because a Wednesday release seems weird. But I wish she had said Thursday instead, or at least “tomorrow night”, I was excited to hear it tonight at midnight

I thought the leaked song Ring had the title spelled “Rrring” (at least on some sites) so that made me hope it’s possible that the Jam City collab is called Ring with just one R and they’re actually 2 separate songs. And the jam city collab has lyrics about calling someone so it’s conceivable that could be the title...probably a huge reach but I’m desperate lol

I feel like when an artist records a remix/cover there are 2 directions they can go with it. They can either make something very similar to the original or they can try and change it up and make it their own. seems like they tried to do the 2nd option here, and I can understand the impulse - you wanna make something different and unique that stands out separate from the original song - but I kinda wish they’d stuck a little closer to the original version it sounds amazing with the chorus added back in lol

We don’t know that BIOYL was pushed back for Spicy to get released first. We don’t have any official release date for either of them. Spicy’s beatport page has yesterday’s date but that’s obviously wrong. For all we know BIOYL will come out first
