    The Marías  "Superclean Vol. II" EP is out now. It is gorgeous! Sorry if there was a previous The Marías but I didn't find a thread about them.

     

     

    This was their first volume

     

     

     

    I love the entirety of the 2nd volume in my opinion, in contrast to the 1st volume had more standout tracks but a few bores for me.

    where are the 3 additional release for this year she told us about back in July :defeated: only 3 months left. I haven't been keeping up, but have we heard anything about those? I hope we at least get one more release this year but I don't blame her if she wants to take her time and keep working on them.  :flutter:

    Angels who were introduced to Charli from I Love It or Fancy, which solo track of hers did you first listen to and how did you stumble upon it? Also, what was your reception? 

     

    I was introduced to Charli from I Love It, and since she wasn't in the video, I thought she must be the DJ/producer for the song. I saw True Romance being listed in plenty of year-end lists and then gave Nuclear Seasons a listen. I still remember getting chills after the ambient intro ended with a WOOSH and the synths started playing  :worship: ... I've never gone back since  :legend:

    i liked fancy, thought boom clap and i love it were cute when i heard it but nothing solidified it for. I LOVED Breaking Up (i clicked on a related video from some youtube video, i can't remember from which one) so I clicked on her related videos from there but I didn't really enjoyed what I heard so that was that until I heard Vroom Vroom.

    Came here to say that her new singles SLAP. I felt lukewarm while i skimmed through the songs on first listen. I finally got to hear them in full while i was driving home and OMG  :defeated: Excited for her Queen Bee era  :party:

    It's very cringey IMO, don't get me wrong I DO LIKE her music and most of her lyrics are very clever and I'm still blown away with how she crafted her debut, but I wish she could show some maturity in her stage persona.

     

    Also, the movie thing is almost a self sabotage for her sophomore, she's losing momentum every single month that passes by without a new single. She could release a music video + radio single and later film another thing for that song in the film. She's not being very wise and needs that momentum she had with "Cry Baby", and that drama with her ex-friend almost destroyed her reputation and career.

    personally i find her lyrics to have the same problem, too immature. I am excited for her upcoming album and see how she has grown. also yeah the baby thing was cute at first but if she keeps it for a second era  :crossed: This whole film thing is a MESS. She is too obsessed with how people see her.

    When I was reading her post I wanted to SLAP that girl jesus, ITS NOT HER FAULT but i wanted to slap her because she is so dumb. BORNS is a total creep, 23 year old taking advantage of a 19 year old, I feel like that's predatory. He's was adult and she was just becoming an adult.

    Sex Yeah is one of her best songs, just love how feminist it is. Radioactive must be one of the worst of hers.

     

    I must confess I never heard The Family Jewels and from what the little pieces I veard from some songs it seems pretty bad. Is it worth?

    Yes, its great! Its more rugged than her other releases but for me that's part of its charm.

    I showed my friend the leak 2 minutes of Baby and she is OBSESSED, she is such a big fan of Marina and is super excited for new material from her  :defeated: bitch didn't even care about new Lana once I mentioned new Marina  :fabcat: she sorta cancelled her because she thought she went to plasteine or whatever its called, im oblivious to religious squabbles and the world problems  :hooker:
