Her most recent follow is Gretchen Rossi from RHOC, but this was two days ago. Sometimes her following count fluctuates without any new people being followed/unfollowed due to accounts being suspended/unsuspended (there’s been a rise in fanpage suspensions over the past year including both of the LanaBoards pages, but some pages have been able to get theirs back through appeals) x

Chaparelle’s new song Devil’s Music released at midnight! When I saw them in October, this is the song they opened their set with and I really liked it and figured it would probably serve as a single. It was a great song to open the set and a good one for the new year too. I actually think this could be a fun song to open the album with and have it serve as the title track. However, I am a little disappointed that the studio version is only two minutes! When they performed it live, they repeated each verse* twice and added more instrumental breaks, I suppose just to lengthen it to the standard ~3:30 time. I guess you could play the song twice though to give it more of a full-body feel

* - This song doesn’t have a typical song structure like VCVCBC, it’s sort of just three separate parts and then an outro. Perhaps it’s meant to be VCVO, but it’s a little hard to call it that since the “verses” are sonically/stylistic different from each other and the “chorus” doesn’t repeat.. it’s interesting, but I like it! x
 

 

Her vocals are STUNNING!!  Just like in Stargirl, Lana didn't hold back in reaching those hypnotic, super high notes that she executes so well. I loveeee this sound from her, and he seems to bring it out in her on his projects. Would luvvv more of this sound on her own projects, but this is a tasty lil treat for now x

I have vvvvery vivid dreams, and I usually always remember them very well! I typically sleep for like 12 hours too, so plenty of time for them to conjure up. Sometimes I can even remember what seems like the entirety of the dream, every detail from start to fin, and it does feel like I had just watched a long movie or something lol. I keep a dream journal to look back upon to see if I can notice any themes/patterns, or see if any of my dreams manifested into reality.. and I've had loads of instances of that happening, even with Lana dreams

I had a dream the other night that an ~insider~ came onto the boards to share that Lana and Quavo had been working on a joint album titled "Call Me?" before it was ultimately scrapped. They had 7 songs finished before the project was abandoned to focus on their solo projects. The insider leaked what was intended to be the lead single from the record, but they leaked it without a title so there was a debate on whether the song was called "Gold and Grey" or "Golden Grey" - it sounded like a mix between Come With Me and Groupie Love. It had sort of that rising/soaring sonic sound and brought back some orchestral string instruments. Lana was singing mostly in her higher register and Quavo's part was during the bridge as Lana did some harmonies. That's all I can remember about the song, but it was really pretty xx

Stunning.. Lana needs to hire you for her album art fr, this would have been perfect on a vinyl release for the anniversary!!  (would've loved the iconic Born to Die flower crown to make an appearance though )

Another person on the boards that I follow on Instagram posted about them on their story yesterday, and that was how I found out XYLØ/Paige was still making music under another project  I literally just unfollowed her on instagram earlier this month because I though she quit music and went MIA or something loool. I'm excited to listen to the new project! Unamerican Beauty is still one of my favourite records, so I'm looking forward to what's to come with Sunday (1994) I listened to Tired Boy last night and loved it, so I'll listen to the whole EP this weekend! x

Lana Del Rey has declined to be featured in upcoming documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music' following the director's request.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Oscar-winning filmmaker Questlove, the director of the upcoming Saturday Night Live [SNL] music documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music', stated that he reached out to Lana Del Rey in hopes to have her be featured in the documentary to discuss the negative critisim received for her performance on SNL in 2012.

He said, "I wanted to reach out to anyone that’s ever caught bullets for a performance, and so instantly I reached out to both Lana Del Rey and to Ashlee Simpson. Both, understandably, not knowing what kind of storyteller I am, declined, and I get it. 'This is something I want to put behind me. I don’t want to be known as the person that messed up on SNL.' I think if I just pressed harder and gave them the 'my aim is true' standpoint, maybe I could have pushed a little further, but I understood."

Lana Del Rey recently alluded to her infamous SNL performance through her Coachella billboard which stated "Has Anyone Else Died For You?" with an image of a cross alongside the text "Lana Del Rey SNL Jan 14 2012" printed on the lower right corner.

The documentary is set to premiere on Monday, January 27th at 8/7c on NBC, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock. The three-hour special broadcast event includes a look back at some of the show's 900+ musical guests and promises "untold stories behind the culture-defining, groundbreaking, and news-making musical performances, sketches, and cameos of the past 50 years."

@trashsugarmagic Who knew a Wednesday night in Atlanta could bring so much magic?! I can officially cross off “party at the club with Lana Del Rey” from my bucket list. What started as a truly terrible day quickly turned into the best night of my life. It’s 9pm on a Wednesday night as I’m sitting on the sofa sobbing with my head in my hands after a very stressful day. The microwave beeps to let me know that my late-night dinner of frozen Trader Joe’s vegetable dumplings are ready, and as I wipe the tears from my eyes and get up to retrieve my dumplings, my phone flashes up with a text from my friend Sabrina saying that Lana Del Rey has posted on her Instagram story that she is currently enjoying a night out just minutes from where we are. Without a second thought, I abandon my dumplings, dash upstairs to put on the first dress I see in my closet, douse my hair in dry shampoo (it was supposed to be hairwash night), throw a bunch of makeup into my purse to apply in the car, and hightail it out of there and arrive at V12 within an hour. My best friend Kate of 11 years who was right around the corner had secured us a table and me and my friends who had also just arrived join her. My friends and I spend the next hour enjoying drinks & appetizers as we giggle about the insanity of this moment. I had just been crying. Kate was just about to go to sleep to wake up at 5am for her Pilates class. Ashea had just gotten off of work from AT&T. Sabrina & Tanya had convinced their parters to spontaneously drive them there (men of the year, truly.. that’s rare.) We then decide to move our party up to the VIP area. The cheers are sounding and the sparklers are flying as the V12 staff greets us with bottle service and we all revel in the moment. Then, the opening chords to Summertime Sadness begin to play and we all rise to our feet to sing and dance.. and right behind us through a glass-enclosed private room is Lana Del Rey dancing along with us. After jamming to the Honeymoon classic Art Deco, Off to the Races comes on the rotation and us girls immediately get into formation to reenact the famous stage choreo. Before we know it, Lana herself is joining us on the dance floor. We spend the next half hour dancing with our favourite artist to her own music as she shows us all so much love. After 30 minutes of dancing, photographs, and signatures, she departs and us star-stricken girls end the night by belting out the words to A&W - one of my personal favourites. What started out as a night of tears ended with the widest smile that may as well last forever. “if you’re not happy, then it’s not the ending” / “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it” - LDR Thank you endlessly Lana for all of the love you showed me & my friends last night and through our lifetime. I am so grateful for everything you’ve given and taught me over the years, beyond what I can put into words. Always & forever. Thank you to my dear friends for sharing this incredible moment with me. & of course, thank you to @V12RestaurantATL - Karmelo and the rest of the amazing staff for giving us Lana fans the most unforgettable night we could ever dream of.
