This is what I’m concerned about since my sleep schedule has been all out of sorts and completely backwards as I’ve been sick I’ve literally been going to sleep at around 10am and waking back up at 10pm EST, so I’m missing the whole day unless I wake up in the middle of that 12 hour period, stay awake for a couple hours, and then take a nap and wake back up again at nighttime lol. However on Wednesday, I’m planning to go to sleep at 5:30am and wake back up 6 hours later at 11:30am so I can be awake and active on the site for the announcement and be ready to launch the Pre-Release Thread. I’m assuming the announcement will come at noon or later EST, but I wish I knew a more exact time so I could better plan my sleeping arrangements lol x

I also just want to say that I loveeee her hair in a side part so so so much. It suits her so well. I will say it with my full chest, I do NOT care what the young Gen Z trends are, a side part looks better on the majority. Like, hello??? 2014 called and brought the return of the swoopy, flowing locks x

Earlier today, Lana Del Rey and her friend Valerie visited the Mt Baldy Ski Lifts in Mount Baldy, San Bernardino County, California.

Thinking of adding some of these to our official smiley roster soon.. especially ones that I see people using a lot that would make sense to add x

so much happened within that span of 48 hours, I’m still recovering (and needing to finish closing those “cases” skfjsk) xx

Think about it this way.. it’s only been 3 days since we heard Lana’s announcement about the 7th, and in 3 days it WILL be the 7th! Just gotta do the past 3 days over again one more time

But in all seriousness, I’m not going to have my friend harass my old hairdresser about LDR9 I don’t even know if he’ll be working the day she goes in for her appointment (or if he even keeps up with recent Lana stuff for that matter.) Plus, I'm pretty sure her appointment is the 6th, which is the day before the announcement, so I’m sure anything of interest will be revealed then! I’m so excited

Lol the story is pretty funny, so I’ll tell it. Back in 2013, a friend of a friend recommended him to me after I complimented her hair. I booked an appointment, and while I was in his chair he noticed my LDR phone case and he mentioned he was also a fan, so we struck up a conversation about Lana. He was playing music at his station, so he changed it to Lana so we could jam together while he was doing my hair. After a couple of songs, I noticed one I hadn’t heard before, and at this point I was pretty well-versed on Unreleased LDR tracks and kept up to date with leaks, but I still didn’t recognise this one. After asking about it, he smirked and made some sort of comment about how that one “wasn’t out there.” I went back to see him a few times, and each time he’d play Lana and other artists we both liked and there would be songs I wouldn’t recognise. Of course since this was so many years ago, I’m pretty sure everything he played for me back then has since leaked except for maybe a few demos of unreleased songs and Born to Die tracks. I remember him having something like 9 demos of Live or Die, and at that point, only one version was out there. One of the songs I remember taking the longest time to leak compared to when he first played it for me was I Want It All. That didn’t leak until 2017, but he played it for me in 2013 and I had even tweeted some of the lyrics after hearing it back then (my Ellclipse moment ) I haven’t seen him since 2014/2015 as I only get my hair done now like once a year and I’ve switched salons since his was pricey and he’s also hard to book, especially now since he’s one of their top master stylists, but I wonder if he still keeps up with Lana stuff. Really considering sending my friend in this week ready to ask about LDR9 since she’s also a fan and will already be there for her appointment anyway (joking, I’m not going to do that) xx

Throwback to when I discovered that the hairdresser I used to see was an insider of sorts (he had a bunch of unleaked Lana songs as well as ones from other artists) The insiders, they’re normal people walking around us in this world unbeknownst to us… Speaking of which, my friend is getting her hair dyed sometime this week at the same salon he worked at. I even recommended she see him as he still works there, but she’s seeing a different stylist. Perhaps I should tell her to look out for him and ask for some tea (joking, I’m not going to do that) xx

I think at this point, that’s to be expected. With each record, Lana delivers something new, while still keeping that authentic, famous LDR touch. I dont think there has been or will ever be a true “2.0” record in whole, but if anything, certain elements of certain songs may remind fans of past vibes. That’s just with her staying true to her signature styles she’s had in her artistry since the beginning. Each record has been distinct from its prior, while still obviously being a Lana record. I think that’s what we can expect for now - a new yet familiar variety of sounds that both progresses from yet reminisces what we’ve known and loved from Lana over the years x

The thing about NFR and I think why it appealed to the GP so much (who tend to like her earlier works BTD & UV) is that it had certain elements of these records with a modern-Lana flair. Like, I could easily see songs like MAC, California, and The Greatest fitting on UV with a Dan Auerbach production. Same for songs like Cinnamon Girl, Doin’ Time, and HIAB, those could fit on BTD with an Emile Hayne production. Then songs like Bartender, NFR, and HIADT are more align with her current records. I think NFR had a proper mix of her old and current sound, which made it likable to both casual listeners and huge fans. There was a little bit of everything and something for everyone. I can see the same thing happening with LDR9 - revisiting her prior records in certain elements while delivering a more current Lana sound that we’ve seen in her recent records. A little blend of everything that can appeal to everyone. Again, I don’t want to speak too soon especially after just one’s person opinion, but I do feel that a stamp of approval from someone who isn’t the biggest Lana fan is a really good sign all around x Okay I saw this right after I made the first portion of this post, but this is exactly what I mean. I feel like this record will offer a good variety of sounds that can appeal to everyone, both casual listeners & big fans x

Usually, I'm not one to "move" too much over insider tea especially since a lot of it is subjective based on the insider's personal tastes, but I feel like BOZ saying it's a "really great record" and that it is "[better] by a landslide" than Chemtrails & Blue Banisters which weren't necessarily fan-favourites is a good sign that this record will be really well received by both fans and the general public. Overall, BOZ isn't the biggest Lana fan, so I feel like him actually really liking the record means it's going to be something really incredible. I personally really love both Chemtrails & Blue Banisters, with both being my Top 2 Lana records played of 2022 respectively, but I know the GP didn't care for them as much. If someone like BOZ who isn't a huge Lana fan speaks highly of the album, then this raises even my own hopes/expectations quite a bit x The other night I had a dream that I've forgotten most of by now, but I remember there was some sort of hint made by Lana that lead fans to believe this record was going to be a return to her earlier records sonically, so BTD/P/UV/HM. I know that each of her records have been distinct and different from the last, so no true ___ 2.0 seems feasible, but I wouldn't be too surprised if certain sonic elements from her previous records made an appearance on the new one given BOZ's likeness of the record aligned with what he typically likes from her x

The band Måneskin paid tribute to Lana last night at their NYC show by covering Blue Jeans! Their frontman Damiano David stated, “We’re in New York, and this city has been the house of some of the biggest artists in music history. There’s one in particular that we want to homage tonight ‘cause she made possible to make masterpieces in the 2000s, so thank you, Lana.”

So I’m not sure if anyone’s posted this yet bc I’m still nearly 200 pages behind (edit: it appears not since this was only 3 hours ago), but Anna Cofone (Lana’s OG hair stylist) reposted Neil’s flower picture on her story. He had originally posted the same picture on his story with the caption “Drop some new work next week?” I did see that some of you here noticed that Neil replied to Anna’s comment on Lana’s recent post, but I feel like the fact that she also reposted this picture means something.. x

Also can we not clog this thread up with questionable insider chatter? I already moved so many pages out of this thread last night after the fall of TheDollClub because it’s just unnecessary mess. This is LANABoards not InsiderBoards, after all. We’re actually starting to get actual concrete info from Lana and her team, so let’s be excited about that!! x

Maybe she learned that lesson from COCC My dreams are always quite vivid, I must say! I’m still wondering if any of my LDR9 dreams will come to fruition like they have with previous records.. x

Dreaming in No Colour

Why has it been for the past two days that new info has come while I’m napping skfndk. Both the video of Lana declaring her Dec 7th announcement & all the Neil Krug stuff happened while I was off in dreamland for my 3 hour powernap. What I’m taking from it is that maybe my manifestations work harder when I’m asleep? Maybe I shouldn’t pull an all-day-er on the 7th and just sleep instead? Is that what this means?

Imagine if her date for an announcement regarding the album ends up not being true either However, I do have good faith that an announcement of some sort will happen on the 7th - whether it be a reveal of the album title, cover artwork, tracklist, lead single, (dare I say) release date, etc. I also feel like the fact she’s scheduled a set date for an announcement means that her team probably told her she can’t just go about posting random dates for an album release that they can’t follow through with. Either way, I’ll be perched & ready on the 7th! The Pre-Release Thread is so close, I can almost taste it! x

Oh yes, actually I can do that! Good idea. I’ll work on getting a Pre-Release template thread set up as a base for a mod to finish filling out with info and unlock in case I’m not awake/online when the announcement is made! I do intend on trying to stay up though or having a friend call to wake me up just in case lol. But this is a good precautionary measure to have, so thank you! x

Also just want to say, I’m very happy Lana made an announcement about the announcement skkk. I already had told three friends to call me when Lana announces something in case I’m asleep since my sleep schedule is never normal, but now I can go into the 7th awake and prepared to start the Pre-Release Thread for you on time! Can’t believe the time is finally coming to graduate into the next thread x
