ONE sounds like baby's first hyperpop though so I can't speak I'll on it. 

 

But honestly my opinion on this material is too biased, just knowing that Sky wasn't wanting to pursue this sound herself makes it feel even more fake (for me)

her myspace demos were extremely electro pop tho, like maybe this is because i'm older and remember sky pre ghost era but she straight up pulled " the label made me do this sound and i hate it " out of a hat randomly one day. 

she basically begged bloodshy to get her signed and work with her

she's definitely NOT a charts artist and i don't think the major label should try to market her as such but once it gets past that i think it would otherwise go smoothly

oh no yeah, that's what interpreted on how negotiations were different ( and better ) for her now. Like i think she's waiting for the perfect deal. She's interesting to me because she knows her boundaries in the sense that she doesn't want to produce and she most definitely doesn't want to be in charge of her own label and doing all the work. This album for me reaffirms that she doesn't want to go the indie route if she has another choice.

i'm wondering how the " record label made me do a mainstream album as the last album and there's a secret hyper pop mixtape going to be released after " stans are doing rn. Like that rolling stone article cemented that not only was this entirely her idea and goal but backs up her statements that she doesn't even know what's happening after ( which might be causing her anxiety because i have a feeling she's hoping to get signed somewhere but obvi is weighing her options ) 

like her comment about negotiations in the article two days ago being different leads me to believe she's still gunning for a major label sign

it's definitely this year but there's no set date that insiders are aware of....yet. I mean we were supposed to get an ep instead of billions double single but she changed her mind relatively last min apparently....

She's signed to TaP management now so i anticipate it'll be more in their control for strategic purposes ( so definitely not while on tour ). i'm thinking august. i'm also wondering if they are going to push for a major label deal but we'll see 

i just love how people hating on charles music is somehow unique to her now. I don't remember true romance having a single good review critically and it was made fun of and called disappointing by stan's at the time and look at it now !!

calling out a specific stan on a massive public account is gross/manipulative by all accounts. i'm not familiar with said stan but shout out to them by just letting charles have their breakdown and moving on like nothing is happening.

Yeah my point is that all of her albums evolved from her initial statements except for maybe charli but tbh charli sounds like leftovers of songs she had lying around ( sorry it's my least favorite album ).

i thought move me was supposed to be funky and the guitar from the opening track. honestly i take what she says with a grain of salt as sucker was supposed to be ye ye pop and punk and bubblegum and recorded in france/india etc etc and true romance was like uffie ed banger rave daddy 90s spice girl

i love baby, it sounds like a promo single because it is one. It's lucky it even had a mv. I'm interested to see how the rest of the album plays out but it's incredible to see pop2/charli/hifn stans claiming that the song sounds unfinished/leads to nowhere. 

Do i wish it was longer and the breakdown/bridge at the end included the imma fuck you up ? yes but that's obviously not what she was going for
