  1. Seeing the show yesterday really made me reevaluate the album as my fave from this year, stellar concert. Party 4 u was such a moment, visions too, almost felt surreal experiencing them live after two years :kris::trisha:

Missed chance to sing Sweat cause we were all dripping wet by the end lmao, people literally fainting from the heat :biblio:

hcinkwinrn is in my top 3 crash songs so i wouldn't mind if charli had george daniel produce her next project! i'd love to hear her over electronic/pop production in the vain of the 1975

The way that song started a whole identity crisis for me, making me realize that I don't know what i want from life rn except my well being and accept it :oprah3:

    her Joanne era is coming

i mean, if it's something along the lines of Official, Oh Yeah and Being Harsh I would not hate it

Better than the trap songs? Hell yes. Better than Icy, Sweet Spot, Personal Hell and Do Me? No :nono:

    This ^

Slut Pop is actually a fun and solid themed project, you all shit on it just because of Luke lol

I'm interested about your takes. What song does come to your minds.

For me the drum and guitar intro for You're Not The One immediately starts playing.

Same. What a timeless classic :oprah3:

  6. I don't get why a lot of y'all hate Tommy Cash. Saw his show last night and it was the craziest concert I've been to this far, more like a rave actually. Loved it, he did not sing 3D World and that was the only bad thing :true::lolliney:

    The TERF bangs gotta go

For real tho  :toofunny: I don't get why the era has to be stained with babybangs on the cover when she was SERVING with the super long wavy hair look she posted back in September??

  8. Not me liking all the deluxe tracks more than 80% of the standard album... :xgiggle:

They have that emo vibes/soul that are extremely lacking in Crash

Sorry If I Hurt You deserved Every Rule's spot, sns

  9. Ok after 5 more listens trying to force myself to like it cause i already bought tickets    i'm getting more into the vibe of the tracks. It helps keeping in mind that it's like the Sucker of post-VV Charli, a cute album that's just not on the same level of its predecessors :true:

Used to Know Me MV when btw? :kris:

  10. Spoiler

crash - nice opener, tho i thought it would've been more dark toned

new shapes - banger, you get it or you don't, but it bangs

    good ones - a bridge would've been a perfect topping but still a 10/10

constant repeat - bops but outro should've been a post chorus. hate the lenghts.

beg for you - it's not bad, but neither good. you just listen and sing to it but it lacks that oomph

move me - idk why you're not talking more abt this, its such a cutie

    baby - mmmm....BABY.

lightning - i claimed this one but...it's not really it after the first chorus. gets annoyingly repetitive quickly and drags on for too long. overproduced is a term i hate cause it's almost always used improperly, but THIS is the definition of overproduced.

every rule - i like it, but it's basically IDWK pt.2. but i love myself a little 80s prom slow dance moment

yuck - this one does nothing for me atm. needs more listens for sure

used to know me - this is it. it's dark, it's slutty, it's dance and the good ones character comes thru. this is what the lead and sell your soul aesthetic made me think the album would sound like

twice - cute, but kinda forgettable, especially amongst her closers, kinda flat production wise.

I expected a lot more tbh. It's good overall, but lacks something. Also most of the non singles are as far from mainstream as possible, many tracks could be tacked on HIFN(twice), CHARLI(every rule, lightning, crash) or Pop2(move me) as Bsides. And at last, it suffers SO BADLY from the lenght and structure of the tracks, like i blinked and it was already at half album, by the time you get into the vibe of the songs, they end abruptly. Makes me want to not listen again cause i'm not the type to play on repeat songs long as a fart lol, that was a choice surely.

7/7.5 if i had to rate it? among 9/10s tho hope it grows a little on me :bebe:

am i the only one that thinks hyperpop charli needs to die?

i love hyperpop charli as much as the next gay but i don’t feel like she could innovate with that sound anymore it sounds old and she needs to do something different now

Can we please stop with the need of polarizing her career like this? First of all she's not really "hyperpop" when doing experimental music, she's not some ericdoa/the other 100gecs washed up copies, yes she basically opened the gates for the genere with Pop2 but her stuff is waaay more original and still/will sound fresh for a long time.

She's also very good at doing more conventional stuff and this does not mean that the quality level drops when she does, so all the rants on twitter are pretty dumb and from gays that need to feel quirky and unconventional 24/7.

This being said, her partnership with AG is still VERY profitable and it's been made clear she enjoys a lot more that kind of approach to music, at least for her solo output. She has a trademark anyway so she can do no wrong in almost any case and sound she'll pick in the future.

  12. I'm late but...

Tried to be as objective as possible taking into account production, lyrics and quirks (release order):

    1. What I Like - prod is super hype and her trademark hiphop delivery

    2. Stay  Away - such a immaculate electro ballad, the heavily autotuned 2020 version perfected it

    3. Vroom Vroom - no need to explain. groundbreaking, still fresh and pivotal for her

    4. Tears - the concept of the prod + vocal editing alone tops almost everything in her catalog

    5. Lipgloss - hype hype hype. perfect feature and prod snapped

    6. Track10 - most experimental shit that sounds good she's ever done

    7. No Angel - pop perfection. the little twinkling synths that back up the vocals on 2nd/3rd chorus are eargasm

    8. Silver Cross/Gone - both interesting lyrical topics and stellar production

    9. Claws - quintessential hyperpop Charli.  such an uplifting vibe. one of her best vocal melodies in the prechor

    10. Visions - she just knows how to make a goddamn closer track

die tonight is unlistenable, isn't that song like a one direction reject? :ma:

I genuinely love Die Tonight  :toofunny: it reminds me of good times with an ex

Just take it as the rest of the album: very mindless pop rock record with angsty teen aesthetic /lyrics

im so bummed I really don't like it :noparty:

Same, I'm trying to force myself to like it but the vocal delivery and mixing is very jarring. And it doesn't really  go off  like the original so it kinda just makes me wanna listen to that instead. I don't even like Rina so it's not like the feature is a redeeming quality for me.

Literally the first release from her I don't love since I stanned in 2017.

It’s really annoying that the intro is missing from the streaming services .

Haven't saved the song on my spotify library cause this thing bothers me SO much. It's really keeping me from listening again
