Sometimes I wonder why everyone acts like Venice Bitch was a song that God made just because of the guitar solo. Like I'm sorry but "ice cream, ice queen, I dream in jeans and leather" is not some next level poetry. They're cute playful lyrics, but it's not out of this world my loves. Just cause something has a guitar solo or just because it's acoustic/has only real instruments in it, doesn't make it next level. You know once upon a time there was a thing called the 60s that had music exactly like this except it was better written and better overall

Why are we fighting over other people's music careers when we all don't have any successful ones of our own? Every artist has brought something different to the table. Now I might not enjoy most of the names you guys mentioned, but that doesn't downplay their talent nor the influence they have. The one thing we can collectively agree on is they're more successful than we'll ever be, at least in the present moment, because they utilized their talents, captured an audience, and currently are profiting off the beds they've made and laid themselves. Every artist has a gift of their own. Just be grateful enough art is being made nowadays for us to even pick and choose from and that no one is really being shoved down our throats like they were back then by the mainstream media. Salute bitches! Now let's solve a real issue like world hunger or global warming!

@@LanaFlowers omg sis I have BPD too! Twin sisters club! Honestly though, I don't know why, but I would love fame. I usually feel like everyone hates me and I feel alone and lost, so to feel everyone's love and support and interest in me would actually make me very happy. I also love hearing people's stories and see it as a blessing to touch so many people. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I would honestly talk with fans for hours at meet and greets and try to absorb as much knowledge as I could. People are magnetic, and I just think it's amazing to connect with such a huge audience. Hopefully, maybe one day, I could have just a tiny little taste if my music ever pops off, and if I ever get to making a fucking album. I relate to the "laziness" so much because I make so many plans to go record and meet with other musicians and I always second guess myself and back out last minute. I'm trying to work on putting more effort into things though and seeing the positive side!

Yeah I don't think it's right. Modern fame truly reflects our "chew it up and spit it out as quickly as possible" mentality. Art should be respected and treated accordingly. I also don't agree with promotion and such. I love interviews, don't get me wrong if you have something to say, say it. But art should speak for itself. When artists go with the whole promotion thing, as 99% do now, it just makes it more of a product than art. As with how fame works now, I think the blame should be split in quarters. 1/4 on the artists themselves for playing into it, 1/4 on the rabid fans, and 2/4 on the record label executives, concert promoters, managers, etc. The music industry, and the industry in general, really dictated how everything works. They want you to be obsessed so you always buy new things. It's a money making machine to them. I think it also has to do with our fast food, fast cars, fast computers mindset. I really miss the joy of getting two dvds at the video store and watching the shit out of them. It was appreciated more. Now you can watch 1000 on Netflix and it means nothing because we've become accustomed to it. The world needs change. As for the music industry, I would totally love a music revolution where artists go against the system, against Spotify, against the labels, the radio play, the charts, etc. Let the art speak for itself, ya know? But would they do it? I'm not sure. I don't think many necessarily want change. Most are happy with the money they're making. But yeah, that's just my two cents.

After today's whole mess with Ben vs me, I've decided I'm going to take longer when explaining myself and try to keep a nurturing and tough love attitude that a mother would because I tend to be condescending and irrational when speaking too passionately on a subject and it usually taints my argument from actually having any value or meaning. We love growth!
