  1. Lana: There are so many things, really. I guess one of them is a personal experience I had with a person who believed in breaking you down to build you back up again. And although that mindset didn't really agree with me, there was something freeing in letting go, for me, [with] this particular sort of guru-esque character. It's a little bit about being in love with the act of surrendering, about being confused whether that's a good idea. https://www.npr.org/2014/06/21/323209791/lana-del-rey-i-dont-have-other-people-in-mind I'm adding this to my main post
  2. WAITA MUTHA FUCKING MINUTE wasn't Lana part of a cult in New York ran by a guy who surrounded himself with pretty girls and believed in breaking them down in order to build them back up? I really do remember reading that, it was part of an interview or something, and that the song butterflies was written about him: [Verse 1] You're hot for God, but we all got a hunch that Maybe you've gone astray Control yourself, but it's so hard When you can look so good on Sunday I know he knows that I knew what he's thinking I know he knows I know he knows that what he's doing is wrong But I just tell him "Go on, sing a sad song." [Pre-Chorus] My baby has an eye for pretty things, pretty things He thinks that little girls are butterflies and clips their wings Sicko, psycho, sicko, but he's my beau Puts them on a roller coaster, lures them in with Coca-Cola! [Chorus] Boy, you've been catching butterflies All the girls believe your lies, don't they? Boy, you can pin me up if you like A pin-up in a lonely sky, baby You give me butterflies You're catchin' butterflies You give me butterflies, I'm fluttering, fluttering high AND WHAT SONG DID LANA WRITE FOR NFR Happiness is a butterfly Try to catch it like lighting, I If he's as bad as they say Then I guess I'm cursed Looking into his eyes I think he's already hurt And now she joins a cult like Church with pretty girls while making an album about butterflies Am I fucking reaching or did I solve something? "I used to be a member of an underground sect which was reigned by a guru," she said. "He surrounded himself with young girls and he had this insane charisma I couldn't resist as well. So I was in this, I'll call it sect, because I was longing for love and security." Continuing, she added: "But then I found out that this guru wasn't a good but a bad person. He thought that he had to break people first before he could build them up again. At the end I left the sect." https://www.digitalspy.com/music/a815836/the-surprising-stories-behind-six-of-lana-del-reys-biggest-hits/
  3. I mean wasn't Lana part of some alcoholics anonymous cult in New York? I remember there being a lot of info on that somewhere on LB, it was part of the "life guru who believed in tearing girls down to rebuild them". They don't say history repeats itself for nothing. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, and it seems Lana is VERY unsure of herself lately.
  4. "I wanna be a badie for now" I didn't think she meant it literally
  5. legends only also yes back to topic Lana da fuq sis
  6. whaddup my INTP Taurus sister! we twins or something?
  7. does anyone know who the other girls were? also where my Taurus bitches at ayeeeee
  8. I think it speaks volumes on the current status of the gay community. Back then it was a brotherhood/sisterhood of protection, although completely kept in secrecy, everyone stood for something, they had each others backs, it was about love and supporting eachother. Now it's about who has abs, who's straight acting enough, who's hot, etc. It's really depressing something really special became so superficial, and I think it applies to this situation. Some gays here couldn't care less because it doesn't effect them personally. They only care about shaking their ass to whatever new song Lana puts out. They really couldn't care less about how hard other gays may have it, like if someone who had a gay child went to Hillsong and considered gay conversion therapy. But I mean, these are also the same gays who fund gay pride to the high heavens, although we have nothing to be prideful of because gays in Russia and Jamaica are still being tortured. The money should be put into activism and rallies in countries that don't share the luxury we do. This all truly speaks volumes on our whole community. It's very, very sad.
  9. It truly saddens me too, and I'm seriously unimpressed by some of the gays saying "it's not that big of a deal! it's only anti gay/anti reproductive rights propaganda, and little kids being abused" Like if you like having the freedom to love whoever you want, and Lana was truly your idol, this would concern you more. I just don't get their ignorance and Lana's I guess society has gotten so far down the rabbit hole to the point where people don't care about their own communities/rights and they're all in it for themselves.
  10. Lana starting the livestream: hey guys whats up everyone: why were you at hillsong? do you know about their past? Lana ending the livestream immediately: you know what fuck you guys
  11. Lana: go fuck yourself Me: ight fight me bitch jk sis jk half jk
  12. I mean if the poems will be like: The headlights from passing cars They illuminate my face, and Leave me in the dark The voice of Nirvana says "Come as you are" And I will The night time is almost ours The sway of the hips and arms Will cradle you from afar They swing till you're tired And send you to Mars Night time is almost ours I'm totally down But if they're like: Oh... yeah, oh... yeah, oh... yeah Signin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss Yeah... yeah, oh... yeah, oh... yeah Signin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss I heard my baby's back in town now You should come, come over We'll be hanging around now You should come, come over Then no thank you she can keep it
  13. I just realized she decided not to go to Meteor Fest in Tel Aviv August 31st, and then released MAC September 12th Honestly an interesting conspiracy as to why it's been taking 5 - 6 months and why the era felt it came too soon. Plus she announced the two new songs September 7th
  14. Not Tropico predicting her career Part 1: Body Electric: she finds herself in paradise only to bite the apple (fame) and spiral down a bad path (BTD/PE era) Part 2: Gods & Monsters: she is now forced to live this bad life style because of her actions (UV/HM era) Part 3: Bel Air: she finds peace in finding God (LFL/NFR era) I'm just kidding don't roast me also leak cinnamon challenge thank you
  15. she completely contradicted this interview Lana: me and everyone I know felt safe and understood under Obama's administration. It was kinda like looking at how far we've come Interviewer: I don't know this for a fact but you must have a lot of fans in middle american who support trumps administration Lana: I don't care if I lose fans because of that, period. And then with songs like God Bless America, and WTWWAWBWJKD, it looked like she was taking a turn for the better. But now she's supporting a group of people who support pedophiles, are anti gay/believe in conversion therapy, and want to take women's rights away over their reproductive systems. It's just like she's done all this work into the right direction, and she basically took a steaming pile of dump on it. It just makes me sad. I really hope she addresses all this anyways since we're in the NFR thread and not the Lana spotted at Hillsong thread: I'm really not liking this era. Between the album promo being messy, Lana leaving everyone scratching their heads, her going to that church, it just feels... wrong. I don't know man
  16. @@Peachycream love u too hun I just see the same people repeating the same shit "all religions hate gays" "lana is ignorant dont blame her" "lana doesn't hate gays she said in an interview she loves em" like we're not even talking about that lmfao
  17. jesus christ girl we literally went over this five fucking times in the other thread about it. It's not about her being anti gay it's about her supporting a church who is anti gay. if she hung out with people who were known rapists and was too ignorant to do her own research, she'd get in trouble, so why is it okay for her to hang out at a church who are known to be homophobic and into pedophilia? again so y'all understand It's not about her being anti gay it's about her supporting a church who is anti gay No se trata de que ella sea anti gay, se trata de apoyar a una iglesia que es anti gay.
