The Variety writer liked tweets saying the review was an 80, so be prepared to pull out the receipts when Metacritic misinterprets the review

I still can't get over the LA Times article being counted as an 80 when it doesn't have a single criticism and raves about the album.

Observer grade below average, so 80 from them shouldn't move the score much, CoS will bump up for sure, but Variety may lower things a few points. Don't know where it will end up after these three? A lot depends on whether or not Pitchfork give her BNM and an 8.8+.

That's the actual opposite of what has happened with Lana reviews over the years The album is being hailed as a masterpiece and you can't handle it. Just admit it to yourself and stop wasting your time - which you seem to have an excess of - creating throwaway accounts on a Lana fan forum.

Alexis created an account to defend himself, I see. Lana has created her own sonic world and most critics seem able to understand how she has expanded her lyrical perspective outward while remaining true to her aesthetic. And yes, there are a lot of misogynist undertones when describing her appearance and 2012 conspiracy theories about her upbringing as primary criticisms of a 2019 LP.

I'm nervous that the Pitchfork review is going to be a letdown after all of the staff hype. There's going to be some biased editor who chooses to bring the score down from what the reviewer chose. They responded to you and not to all of the people writing about the Guardian bias and the blatantly incorrect NYT score?

#3 for Lana is pretty great for her sixth album of the decade and a pretty inaccessible one at that. She’s crossed over to the mainstream incredibly well and has established her staying power with a obsessed dedicated fan base.

People should really email Metacritic about the Telegraph review...they've taken off misogynist reviews before. The real bias is the Alexis Guardian review, though. If someone sent the screen shots of Lana mentioning him and the infamous 2014 interview, they would take it off for bias. They removed LFL's highest score for "bias" but never explained why.
