It’s weird to think how many industry bridges that Lana burned in the span of a few days Ariana, Kehlani, SZA, Tinashe, Doja, Twigs, Marina, probably the rest of the women mentioned, etc.

Imagine if Lana had just kept that initial rant to herself.

The dialogue surrounding her comments is completely fair game, but hate seeing the collateral criticism her music has gotten as being "bad" in viral tweets. She had won over so much respect across the board just to throw it away with completely unnecessary comments.

I wish this could go viral instead.

I was dragging her the last several days, but I feel like there's a bit of nit-picking going on in here now? Unless I missed something new on her story, she has done her part in protesting (silently before others urged her to post) and took down the looting video minutes after she was asked to.

Well, I've been dragging her for the last several days for her silence, but glad to see she listened to her fans/the public and used her platform to spread awareness. I'm also encouraged to see she listened to those urging her to alter her post as it could be used against protestors. Her story leaves me the most hopeful - standing with protestors and BLM signs. She's doing her part.

There are tweets with 125K+ favorites dragging Lana from today and referring to her coded racism.

Even her dad is on twitter talking about racial injustice for the 100th time. The last week-and-a-half has been quite eye opening for me as a stan, tbh. If nothing more, she’s incredibly stuck in her own myopic worldview and only truly concerned about issues that affect people like her.

Amazing that Lana went from being so vocal about gun violence (as far as mass shootings) to radio silence about BLM. Disappointing to say the least.

Joining the chorus of those saying her silence is reprehensible. It doesn't matter that some will criticize her for the timing - she should use her platform for good, particularly after just having been romantically linked to a police officer accused of discrimination.

She has spoken out about gun violence in the past via IG stories, but never police brutality. She gave the cops middle fingers in that video, but I doubt she meant it that way.
