Is this real? Found on Discogs, which was uploaded 7 days ago. Says, it was released in 2008, also noted as Master Reference #1. @Dark Angel have you seen this before (asking you because you know a lot about LG stuff)? Maybe it's something it has been talked about here before but I have forgotten or missed it. I cannot be that delusional, the signs are there! On Instagram, her hairstylist and make-up artist posted these stories! Is it possible that Lana attends the 82nd Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California on January 5th, 2025? I don't know any other famous client of theirs besides LDR!?

Also her friend, actress Margaret Qualley (who is also married Lana's producer to Jack Antonoff) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress In A Motion Picture, so it could be very possible that she attends there to support her!

I grabbed a copy on eBay dirt cheap and was lowkey hoping to hear some Lana backing vocals or some lyrics that made me think  But no...
There is one interesting thing about it though. The bassist for the band was none other than... Josh Kemp! The World of Warcraft addict who inspired universally lauded Song of The Decade Video Games

 
This is interesting as it suggests his and Lana's relationship goes back further than originally thought.

Listen at your own discretion the songs are pretty unremarkable but it's a cool insight into her very early musical inspirations nonetheless

Larry speaks about A&R and how amazing Lana Del Rey is! he helped sign her to Interscope and get her the SNL deal. calls her initially as "ah Lizzy" 
Larry and his pal John Ehmann were fired from SONY Music. John Ehmann said Larry should listen to a demo called "Diet Mtn Dew" by an artist named Lana, who Sony just passed on.  
Larry loved it! 
says he met Lana 2 months after he himself moved to Los Angeles. she came in looking like she had walked off the set of the BTD album cover! Lol. he was enthralled by her. 
Says the night before she signed w/Interscope, she got a deal from SONY UK for 2 times as much money, and she said No! and signed the next day with Interscope !!!! (our queen)

seeing her give speeches like this when she looks almost exactly like she did in 2012 is so surreal, because it hits even harder that this is the woman who worked through all the shit she had to back then to get to where she is now  oh auburn hair lana you’ll always be famous 

She referenced this quote years later in an interview. i'm not actually sure it's this one cause im not prepared to rewatch but I think it is. It's nice to know a mantra she has carried with her through her life.
