  1. i’m loving the lyricism, this album definitely has some of her best written songs. sawzall is such a breath of fresh air, never heard an artist admit their shortcomings in a past relationship the way she’s done it. the lyrics on this one are so tailor made for that specific person it almost feels intrusive that we get to hear it

  2. i’ve been liking posts like crazy because i really couldn’t have said it better than y’all (you know who you are, love you) haven’t been keeping up as much as i used to because i’m like well.. what the HELL we gon do now? there is absolutely nothing to talk about. i feel like whenever she decides to put it out i’m just not.. gonna care anymore. i’ll just take in your car and RUN

  3. Don't know if anyone else

    knows what I'm talking about but in a few places there's that really generic "chill wave/lounge" piano sound, like in What About Love, Hawaiian Mazes and Sawzall and I'm just not buying it. If that piano type was in Godess I could have rolled with it cause those sounds weren't as common back then but these days I'm just sick of hearing that noise :ohno:

    i actually did notice this as well. i think it might be the reason why i didn’t really care for what about love. i didn’t mind the “vibe” in the other two tracks though. the hawaiian mazes instrumental sounds like mariah carey mixed in with kanye’s flashing lights and sawzall was very matt corby (whom i adore) so i can’t be too mad at them.

  4. overall i’d say it was a massively strong and enjoyable effort. i was afraid she was gonna be one of 2019’s very disappointing comebacks but if anything, she just showed all the girls what they wish they would’ve done.

    i’m glad this is getting some love from critics and fans alike (so far), considering how quirky and different of a direction it is for her.

    a quite cinematic experience and i loved basking in every minute of it. muffy sis the dramatics!

    it’s also so unapologetically in your face—the project doesn’t tirelessly beg for your attention, it simply demands it.

    the only problem i did have with some of the songs: i couldn’t understand what the hell she was singing for the life of me. giving this a second listen later tonight (with the assistance of lyrics this time) because i do feel there is a lot to look out for in the production that i missed.

  5. I was very shocked when I read the lyric "And you love me like you promised your wife." lol changed the whole song for me. It's still so good.

    i wonder what she means by that.. i took it as the guy making a promise to love her as if they were married, and not talking about an actual person. petition to have her on genius verified, i’d love to hear her talk about this song

  6. godless is such a gem.. i know some people had their doubts about this album based on the singles (i can see why that would be the case), but honestly i had/have a lot of faith in her and from giving the early reviews a read i can tell this album is gonna be right up my alley. the anticipation is killing me, hurry up friday!!!

  7. i’m gonna be honest these snippets aren’t doing too much for me (i know we don’t have the full songs yet i’m just making a judgement from what we do have as of now) hopefully i change my mind by the time/after we get the whole thing

  8. don't forget (-;

    she might play this and the “tortured little girl” song, didn’t she post about pitchfork fest with that snippet playing in the background? c’mon sky trollnia drop the pre-order link already..

  9. yuh, don't get your hopes up

    i reallyyyy doubt they would’ve let her play at pitchfork if she didn’t have any new material to perform, they would’ve offered her that gig last year and the year before and the year before that if this was the case

  10. sky replied to one of the comments on one of her recent posts and said she was gonna be in london next month for a few weeks so hopefully i’m not reaching but it could be her?

  11. azealia is literally the maleficent of the music industry.. have a feeling she’s just bitter charli didn’t hit her up to be a feature on the album lol
