The person I responded to do not understand why the need to change the sound of the song.

 

And he does not know any other artist who does that.

 

 

I'm just pointing it out maybe because

 

A. The artist he likes is a flop who doesn't get radio play

 

Or B. An artist that already has radio candy music.

 

Nothing to do with taste or anything like that.

 

 

 

Because in reality MANY artists do so

 

Radio play is everything because you don't want to flop on a major label.

 

Lana is not some unknown indie artist.

 

 

She is A MAINSTREAM artist that makes non commercial music.

 

 

Basically, she's indie but successful.

 

She's grimes but successful hihi

for the love of god use paragraphs 

For an example "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li was a huge hit in Germany /Switzerland.. and they played a more mainstream "radio friendly" version on the radio, the same thing happened with Summertime Sadness. They probably just want a lot of airplay with the new version because, as leaked_version already said, the original version would never be played on german radio stations, they never play stuff like that.

huh ok i never really thought lana would care about that so much that she would completely change a song but then again it was probably her label I'm guessing

Lady Fadga music is as mainstream as it gets but G.A.Y also have a radio edit.

 

 

They have to do that for Lana because her music is not top40, it's not fast either.

 

 

They want mainstream success but still keeping her grounded and acclaimed.

 

They don't want her to flop like grimes hihi who will never be successful hihi

i wondered this with summertime sadness and dark paradise but why do they always create these random radio mixes? it makes it confusing and they seem more demo like to me
