  1. To me, the descriptor "sad girl shit" still sounds more fun, playful, and sarcastic than anything that was described on let's say UV or Honeymoon...
  2. Okay bear with me, I'm about to take y'all on a journey... I think I know what's happened here (I write for the 1000th time): Lana WAS planning on releasing the album at the top of 2019 as planned, hence VB and MAC coming out in September of last year. Then, in January 2019, her label last minute decides to push Billie's release earlier than Lana's since she's the shiny new YOUNG thing. Lana lashes out passive aggressively by releasing Hope (a song that is not single friendly but personal to her), and acting like a teenager [insta baddie] on social media. She's ironically flaunting to her label that she can act young and carefree as well, in spite of them choosing Billie over her. Her insta baddie attitude and new friends also tie in with the theme that this will be her "happy album" a la Happiness Is a Butterfly. We're done with depressing Lana. She put that phase to rest with L4L, specifically Get Free. So for us to soak up the new era, as we've seen, she's out here living her best life: hanging with friends, laughing at nothing in videos, showing off a bit. We have literally never seen Lana this happy before at such an extended period of time. I really think she means no harm with all of this confusing behavior. She's trying to get back at her record label for postponing her release in favor of rookie Billie after all her years of hard work putting out albums, and she's also building the world and image of NFR for us. However, that said I really am getting tired of the waiting game and I'm just looking forward to when Billie's release will wear off and Lana's label allows her to get her release back on track again.
  3. Her Insta posts and stories... she's seriously like that friend who you've had a fight w and they moved on and think they're doing so much better than you and passive aggressively flaunt it over social media except idk wtf we did to her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. I think Lana has a gag order on asking purposeful questions that arent about being an LA hippie
  5. Uhm so I hope everyone is spamming Lana on every social networking platform rn. She WILL speak on this mess. Enough is enough. I just called Interscope, the woman I spoke to said it probably got delayed due to minor changes and she'd received a bunch of calls already. We need to keep doing God's work out here ladies!
  6. "Even in the dark i feel your resistance" Lana knows we're willing to revolt for this album
  7. Does anyone else feel immune to disappointment by this point?
  8. Thanks boo lollll I was v embarassed bc we had just been having a moment and my literal salivating ruined it
  9. Okay on a lighter note i had a dream right before I woke up that Lana and I were singing How to Disappear on the dirty floor of an Apple store and I was crying and I think she was too and I was laying my head in her lap, but then I cry-sang too hard and ended up drooling on her leg and she got up right away and left the store
  10. Me reaching my limit of bullshit that Lana can put me through
  11. The author of that Pitchfork article did say Sky showed her another song... if she's comfortable enough showing it to press I assume it's ready for the GP as well?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. Staying up till Midnight will only work if you're on the West Coast. East Coast is three hours ahead and then idek about the Midwest. Also I feel like it would actually release at 9AM LA time if anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyways, this release/ fanbase honestly are in shambles. Only for Lana would I allow myself to be tortured like this
  13. I still dont think its coming tomorrow but I'm pretty sure a surprise release at some point is what we're looking at since she's traumatized from the L4L leak that happened last time
  14. Okay so going off just what she's said this past month, we KNOW the album is not coming in March or April bc she specifically said about her poetry book on IG "when I'm done binding it in a few months" (monthS plural which obvi means more than one and that was posted on March 6th. 'a few' could hypothetically mean anywhere from 2+) So the earliest we're getting it is May ladies!
  15. what were you doing with it? isolating some of the vocals?? (did u ever finish??? sorry i'm greedy)
  16. 24 Hours and You're Not the One are pop. Everything Is Embarrassing was not even on that album. Then there's Can't Say No to Myself if you count the B sides. Anyways, I'm ecstatic that my Sky collection is expanding!
  17. I don't really pay attention to Lana during the off-season so I'm wondering, did MAC have a surprise release? I didn't even know it was out until a friend posted about it and I thought it was a joke from the song title
  18. And since then we got "I told you twice in our love letter. There's no stopping now, green lights forever"
  19. Has anyone noticed the shift in Lana's vocal tone/ timbre/ dialect/ inflection/ whatever u wanna call it. First we have Lizzy voice on AKA with For K part 2, Pawn Shop Blues & Gramma. And specifically on Mermaid Motel she almost sounds like she has a Southern twang in her accent for a few lines. Then we have upstate NY, nasally (what I like to call "Snot-nosed") Lana on This Is What Makes Us Girls, Without You, and I think the clearest example of this is when she says "Donny Montola" or something in Live or Die. She sounds like she's straight up singing from her nose on that lyric. Then I think since UV she's been pretty consistent with the deeper, quieter crooning and something that sticks out to me is how she accents the "ch" sounds in her lyrics from UV forward, there's almost an echo making it sound very melancholy. Then we finally get something new in Get Free with the kind of scream-singing of "Out of the black! Into the Blue!" Idk if any of this makes sense but I'm wondering what vocal styles Lana will be using for NFR!
