i totally understand where some of you come from regarding her health issues and insecurities, and you're totally right about this being a confidence issue – when it comes to live performing, it really narrows down to embodying the song and engaging with your audience. Hopefully, as her summer dates go by, she will regain her live strengths. But please, bear in mind that the people attending her shows – and not just her fans – have spent a good amount of money to get into these festivals, and have given up other artists playing on other stages in order to see her perform. People can make mistakes, but if she keeps arriving late, not doing proper sound checks / not dealing correctly with her live setbacks, and getting her setlist cut short as a result, that, for me, is disrespectful. Im not saying at all that she's doing that on purpose or that she's just being lazy or ungrateful, but you have responsibilities as an artist, regardless of your background, your story, or even your fame. Fans have accused the festival's organization several times for "kicking her out" of the stage, but please, be aware that they are just making sure the next artist gets their well-deserved time to prepare for their own set. That's how festivals work, they run on tight schedules: there are other attendees, other fans and other shows. They had that same morning for rehearsals and an hour before her set to make sure everything was fine and ready to go. Next in line in Barcelona was Angèle, which had constant fully choreographed songs and personalized lighting schemes: and that came from Angèle's team and it was their responsibility to deliver, not the festival's wishes. And yes, you're right, she doesn't owe us anything: but her audience doesn't owe her anything either, and this can really harm her career in the long run.

I reread what I wrote yesterday and let me clarify, she wasn't that bad! I actually enjoyed her vocal performance – i dont think she sang badly, despite her saying otherwise lol – and she really looked gorgeous and quirky in a good way, she even laughed a bit when one of my friends couldn't stop screaming from excitement and there was a moment where she ¿kinda? tried to wave at someone (but she immediately stopped as she was getting distracted from the song I guess lol). Anyway, despite the messiness of it all and her looking visibly mad and disappointed there were cute moments. Maybe I sounded a bit harsh, but it was her attitude towards the sound difficulties that rubbed me the wrong way, and I don't want to be one of those fans who will excuse everything their fave does or are willing engage in mental gymkhanas to pretend to enjoy something that's not really being fun. I really wanted to see her enjoy herself and that didn't happen, most of the time she was tragically caught up in herself instead of, you know, going for it! put on a good show despite the disadvantages! – at least thats how I felt it – and I actually ended up being more worried about her wellbeing than disappointed. At least i'm glad I was there to cheer for her. I really like her and I do care, and if making live shows stresses her out or increases her anxiety levels to some unhealthy degrees I would prefer that she would find a way to make it work for her instead of keep tripping over the same stone over and over. That being said, I don't think i'll ever forget this concert. At times it felt like the apparition of the virgin mary lol. if anyone was there in the Primavera audience, I would love to read your experiences too! i know for a fact some people had a really great time.

bc our old gal for sure gets on everybody’s nerves but her music and artistry is still unmached

im sorry but there’s no way to excuse this. I was at the Barcelona show and it felt like an awkward school presentation. At the beggining everyone was screaming and cheering for her nonstop and she hardly acknowledged it, didn’t engage with her audience at all, and just looked annoyed, uncomfortable and mad. I really love her music and artistry, but its totally understandable for people in the crowd who didnt know her much and were there out of curiosity to walk away. We can say whatever we want about her anxiety or stage fright problems, but at the end of the day she was just standing there awkwardly without nothing more going on, constantly giving death stares to the sound technicians and giving up on herself. We were there just to have a good time and sing along with her, and everyone was so excited to hear for the first time “all my lovers die” among other songs (voices carry included!) but as soon as she finished, she said something like “well, that wasn’t good”, killing the whole vibe. Some fans immediately starting shouting “it was good!” “dont worry its ok we love you!” but c’mon… it really got depressing and undewhelming. Luckily for me and my friends, we spaniards do have some sense of humor - when it finished we just laughed it off saying how the show itself was kinda iconic and on-brand for her, that despite our low expections (yknow, we kinda knew what we where getting ourselves into) she still managed to surprise us with whatever she got going on, and how, after years of only seeing sky in very few, blurred and low quality pictures, we finally got to see her in ‘high res’ for like half an hour. final thoughts - if it happens once, shame on the festival or the technicians. If happens twice or three times, shame on her for not stepping up and fixing her show’s issues. If it happens EVERY time… yeah…….. also, where tf is the music video?

9th - NOS Primavera Sound at Oporto 11th - Primavera Sound at Barcelona lets hope there won't be any technical difficulties and for her to keep guardian in her setlist

sky's vocals being "drowned" has always been part of her signature sound, her voice being mixed between instruments rather than being in a privileged spot in the design is something that goes back to NTMT –for example: the whole album lmao but like boys, ain't your right, omanko etc. and the same applies for her "noisy production". sky's music is not for you if you consider don't forget "horribly mixed", and that's ok, but don't pretend like that's your hot take and not just a matter of personal preference.
-
mosochism will sure sound more “orchestral” (if that makes sense) than ntmt and im here for it
-
when the song leaked I wasn't sure but... oh boy I love this song and its production, the ending violins makes it transition so well into downhill lullaby

I'm exited for the first official release in years but being honest, this rollout is underwhelmingly boring. It was teased way too soon (and we were all so happy that day!) but the hype died down as a whole month went by without any news on the matter, and now that we're on the release week, Sky, known for teasing way too much, is completely silent. ik this is related to her increased anxiety problems, but the only thing we actually got with the DHL release was a pitchfork interview and that alone was more than enough! This album is clearly important to her and a pivotal moment in her career – being one of the most anticipated albums of the decade, having been rewritten several times while described as a "heavy visual album", plus all the mysterious circumstances and vague hints that surrounds its delays – I want her to go full force with it. I don't mind being gaslighted again, I just need to hear her say that this album is going to be the greatest thing ever released just to feel like this is actually happening. I'm just looking forward the mv and cute sandy kim behind the scenes pics, maybe that'll be the big breakthrough we have been waiting for

sounds like it was written by marina (and the diamonds)

should we prepare for a surprise drop?
-
media outlets using this sky ferreira pic where she looks absolutely outstanding and gorgeous to report the false claim against elon... i love to see it
-
her met appearance made me realize she's gotten older – not in a bad or outdated way, she looks beautiful and mature, but I still think of her as someone in her early twenties
-
should we prepare for a surprise drop?
-
the only real issue i have is.... that it's getting really boring
-
if she shot the music video she would've posted something on insta, she loves to tease there's no way this human megaphone is staying on mute by choice
-
I mean this is sky ferreira who we are talking about, she will serve us some insta photoshoot every once in a couple months and some music every once in a couple years (we've had voices carry, downhill lullaby and quite spicy collabs) I don't know what y'all expecting lmao, some new music is on the way and she'll deliver, thats it
-
some of y'all smell like rotten milk
-
exactly what I thought lol the whole "announcement" felt like they still wanted to leave some space for "promotional adjustments", which is translated into the fact that they aren't ready to push for a specific date yet maybe they are now? who knows
-
funny how not a single promotional photo was dropped in the announcement, not a real date in sight... just the title, her name and vibes.
-
only once I lost hope: hours later Don't Forget was announced. the single is NOT coming tomorrow. NOTHING is coming tomorrow.
-
no way sky would write that many words
-
please dont fuck this up
