i've been a lana stan since spring of 2017, and after having been through the LFL, NFR and COCC eras before the albums dropped, RCS is the first time i haven't secretly hoped roses bloom for you would be on the album. i don't know why, but something tells me it just wouldn't fit. dealer however...

the arrangement on the tracklist on this album is amazing. there's never a moment for me where somethings feels out of place or that it should be somewhere else on the album. it's cohesive and that's something i really enjoy.
also: cannot get NAWWAL out of my head today, such a great song

I think that the title is sort of a juxtaposition. rock candy is hard (fun fact: when i was 8, i lost a loose tooth to rock candy), but it's also sweet and sugary. so there's the hard side, but then there's also the sweet side. i don't know if the title is actually like that or if she just thought of it in her head as something random and was like "hm, sounds good", but i'm looking forward to figuring out the meaning of it either way.

personally i think that "Go. Fuxk. Yourself." will be the Tulsa Jesus Freak/Cinnamon Girl/Cherry of this album

a whole record of songs in the same vein as what lana described dealer to be would be a literal dream

i went on a drive through the country side today while listening to the album, and it was such a magical experience. yosemite and NAWWAL especially were heavenly. i felt like i was in a movie of some sort. i was already in love with the album, but this really solidified it for me

rock candy sweet currently trending on twitter
that might not be the best thing though idk today has been hectic as a lana stan

i'm getting two separate vibes from the title:
pink, summer, heart shaped sunglasses and lollipops, Keds commerical lana and wayamaya vibes
OR
dark, grunge, 90s new york inspired, dance til we die bridge vocals with a hint of get drunk and disco vibes (i think the me and my boyfriend + it's not you it's just me live performances fit this too)

i'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up and yet.... anyways, manifesting zach dawes (and maybe dan auerbach and rick but again, trying hard not to get my hopes up) production

ok so first post in a thread ever, i just really have to say that i think title is interesting, not in a bad way, and that i'm looking forward to seeing if she keeps it and how it would match the record sonically. i'm not too concerned with the date (i'm sort of used to her not coming through with original release dates haha), but based on what she's said in music week and the rock candy sweet title, it seems like it would be a promising album
