  1. Knives is my favorite instrumental, I also like how with the first instrumental it almost sounds like a synth pop version of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme. I don’t know my fave non instrumental yet tho, its hard. Kim really knows how to make music that Fucks, Happy Halloween everyone !
  2. Time flies so friggin fast, feels like it was just April when the singles from Clarity were rolling out, and now it's already almost October and TOTL is nearly here. The wig of it all.
  3. I like it. Like the song is fun and cute (and pretty basic), and the marketable hollywood feminism aspect is kind of cringe, but it's still enjoyable on a base level. And it is kind of neat to see the three of them together cause its such a weird combination. And I love Lana's bridge, and how sultry it is. As a longtime stan it's cool to know more ppl will be exposed to her, and I might even finally hear her on the radio. Plus her looks in the video were iconic and she was super sexy and badass, like queen.
  4. Just so you guys kno I’m a crackhead and I’m proud of that Born to Die: This is What Makes us Girls Paradise: Gods and Monsters Ultraviolence: Ultraviolence Honeymoon: Music to Watch Boys To Lust for Life: In My Feelings Norman Fucking Rockwell!: Cinnamon Girl
  5. Considering what a scary time we’re in right now and how dark both the album and that song are, it means a lot to me that it’s still hopeful and so is she. I have to believe that we can still make it through, so I appreciate the song. I love art that manages to be honest and dark but still be hopeful
  6. I’m so fucking happy we’re getting the vinyl same day as release, it feels so good getting to have that experience again after we were deprived of it during l4l era, that one came like a whole month later right? A travesty.
  7. They should restructure the upcoming Godzilla vs Kong movie and have Lanzilla make an appearance with Mothra or something.
  8. Oh my god, the Lanzilla popped out, and she legit killed two ppl in that video, murderous queen. For real tho I’ve been obsessed with Godzilla lately so I’m living for this concept.
  9. My favorite part of HTD is the jingle bells part because I’m sad and afraid but it makes me feel like it’s gonna be okay. Every song shud have jingle bells, they’re aesthetically and sonically evocative of the human experience thru the lense of the galaxy brain.
  10. does anyone know if the actual music is censored too? the vinyl i’m getting today is kind of a wildcard, if the music is censored i’ll literally cry.
  11. I prefer the main cover, but the UO one is still cute, is the pose supposed to be kind of witchy? Who doesn’t love some witch action esp during Halloween (its the end of aug which is official halloween season). If it has nothing to do with witches forgive me I have brain rot.
  12. oo that sounds epic, whats ur u2ube? also how do you do music videos without youtube muting the music? i always have that issue when i try to make them.
  13. I've seen a lot of ppl say getting to hear so much of the album kind of soured their experience, but weirdly all my faves are songs I've heard loads of times (love all the new ones too). Her songs don't really get old for me.
  14. I think my fave is Cinnamon. I hate being basic, but I'm a sucker for how dreamy and pretty and emotional it is. It does things to me. Makes me wanna go out and get a boyfriend who's emotionally distant and doesn't love me as much as I love him, just so I can listen to it while thinking of all the things I want to say to him but can't.
  15. My guess is that people don’t think it fits the narrative even if it fits tonally. But as I listen to the album I like to imagine it as a song playing on the radio while her and her mediocre bf are in the car driving.
  16. Not to be a crackhead but does anyone else prefer the new TNBAR now that shes turned it into a hoe bop? I’m kind of living for it.
  17. Yeah this stuff doesn’t phase me anymore. I literally just don’t care, requiring wokeness from entertainers makes it impossible to enjoy anything, I just like that she’s honest, if she tried being woke this era ppl would just poo on her for being fake woke to get fans.
  18. My favorite moment was when Lana said she wasnt interested in Feminism because she liked space, ugh Her Mind.
  19. Mines already at the post office, supposed to be getting it tomorrow
  20. I didn’t know how much I would like this album based on how more stripped down and casual everything felt from singles and snippets, I live for the grand dreamy decadence of some of her other records but I literally can’t stop listening. I’m just as obsessed as I’ve been with her other albums and I’ve played the singles and snippets several times over the past year. I just love how intimate it feels, her voice is more prominent (in most of the songs) and the narrative feels a lot more straightforward and accessible to me. It’s really hard for me to pick any of her albums over the other, they’ve all been so special to me during each point of my life they’ve come out, and this one is no different. This record def has a lot more growers than showers and I’m here for that
  21. I think more people would’ve had a warmer reception to Hope if it hadn’t been a single and saved to first be heard in the context of the album as a whole esp as the closer.
  22. Yeah, I don’t understand the negativity it’s getting, it fits perfectly into the narrative of the album, and makes the other songs hit harder because it allows for a real arc. It’s also just such a cute intimate track.
  23. With any Lana album the question should never simply be, Is it Good? But instead: Do you feel held by her? And to that I would say yes, yes I do feel held by her.
  24. Yeah I don't really identify with the recycling/repeating critiques I see. I feel like these are all just part of her aesthetic as an artist, almost like the way movie directors or authors have recurring motifs in their work as well, for me it doesn't cheapen the work, it just speaks to the artist's sensibilities.
