it’s not like we’re listening to the album months before it’s being released; 2 weeks before the  date isn’t that deep lol. most will probably be listening on march 24 anyway, the few that are choosing to listen early aren’t being disrespectful. march 10 was the original date and i doubt lana will be crying over us. that video she posted was months ago where listening to leaked material would’ve been worse than now.

    Did it l*ak...?

  2. More a thought on her post-NFR stuff than about the new album itself, but as it comes from listening to A&W, gonna post it here anyway.

I remember not being (still on that train actually) a big fan of NFR due its production, composition and cohesiveness issues.

Nevertheless, listening to the multiple samples/motifs of it on COTCC (How to dissapear, The Greatest, Hope, etc.) felt great as it sounded like the music itself was being rethought and relaunched in new and matured formats.

Felt the same listening to the older stuff being present on A&W -particularly NFR title track, but overall the whole piano/guitar textures that were already displayed on FIILY and DBJAG and set to their best expression yet on this new song- and got to think maybe I'm gonna end up genuinely loving what NFR meant as a whole even if for what its motifs ended up enabling later.

It's not a bait. All I'm saying is that you guys are acting like hipsters. It's not a coincidence that Honeymoon is hailed as a masterpiece on this forum (because it's Lana's most underrated/ignored album) while NFR (her most acclaimed work) gets constantly trashed!

The fact it was publications such as Pitchfork which built the hype around NFR! yet you are calling "hipster" the people who disliked it...

Off topic but since the hype is dead anyway… i wanna ask my fellow Lipsters what y’all think Lana is doing with all her coins?

Mama is making monthly a million at least but remains humble and doesn’t flaunt her riches. We stan such a humble God loving queen

    :wowcry:

Just out of curiosity, where does the monthly million come from? I just ignore absolutely how her income could be calculated

I don't think Get Free was "sue-worthy" per say, but besides Old Money, its the most glaringly obvious example in her entire catalog. I cannot listen to that song without thinking about Creep. MAC is a close third.

Old Money - Romeo and Juliet

    but,

what does MAC resemble? (Once a friend told me it sounded like Wicked Games, but for me Blue Jeans sounds quite more simmilar to that song and that almost never gets pointed at)
