I thought I would like the song more now, but I still can’t stand it.

anyways, happy for the Margaret Stan’s and for Lana!

I actually couldnt stand it when the album came out. Like, couldnt listen to it entirely level.

Now it has became quite a dear song for me. Really enjoy it.

    LTLI, on the other hand...

Just thought of another opinion lol

fishtail embodies so many eras. AKA, btd, chemtrails, honeymoon, lfl… it gives everything. It’s so charming with the muffled vocals, the heavy production on the chorus, the callback to Jump. I think that song deserved much more love. It’s like the child of all her records. I don’t understand why it isn’t more loved

Its actually one of my favourite ones from her last record(s). Absolutely love the production and the composition. The cringy lyrics are something Lana already does from time to time, so they dont really bother me either.

This is very telling though because we know she's felt snubbed over the years, when in fact whatever she was hoping would be nominated maybe wasn't even submitted :pft2:

For me it sounds a bit like bs to be honest, haha.

There's no way a major label artist's team like hers ignores the way Grammys work. Like, no way.

On the other hand, she already got nominated in 2014, 2016, 2018 and in 2020.

I know it's scammys but I'll be kinda disappointed if they rob her again. Ocean Blvd is not my top 1 yet but it is definitely her most powerful and diversified album so far :true: definitely deserve the prize :gclap:

Think the same. OB is not my personal favourite one, but may be her most relevant record to date. In terms of how much all of what she represents as an artist is nitidly present. Hope sincerely that the academia will give it a more than deserved recognition.

Oh hell no... It's a funny pic I'm glad it's part of the package but the Neil covers rock me to the core to this very day. Particularly the standard, the boob, the Amazon and the Target covers are soooo evocative of the album. Perhaps the first time in her career she has fully nailed the cover art

Its funny how much the perspectives diverge here, haha. I genuinely love the album but the cover art just doesnt do it for me. Glad that you enjoy it that much, though!

I think an album like that is a great opportunity to display old & unseen pictures, maybe something like the Ocean Blvd booklet collage or these covers:

That first picture should have been OB cover actually. More interesting visually and more representative of how eclectic and diverse the record is.
