I will tolerate ZERO Cherry Blossom lies, slander, libel, bashing. It is a beautiful godly tune with perfect instrumentation and angelic singing. Its healing power has saved my life 12 times over. It Is on BB and it is the highlight of the album. If you can’t understand that go stream Boom Like That and twerk ur ass till ur brains fall out

HANGINGFROOT update:
Plane arrived to Santiago and I'm already approaching the Butthole Boy's house. I can hear the horrible new lyrics of TNBAR playing inside the apartment. I have my butthole ready if I need to use that to get the CD. Wish me luck!

"I've seen a lot of people criticizing her for the way she sings "I love you" in "Fuck it I love you". My interpretation is that it connects to the second line in "Norman Fucking Rockwell" - You fucked me so good I almost said I love you. She's trying to make it sound as if she starts saying I like you, but changes her mind mid-sentence because fuck it."
Saw this on reddit and I really like this theory, because I keep hearing fuck it I like you

IMO, she's not complaining about Kanye "being a thing still" but rather that he's lost his way. Definitely a dig at his support of Dump, and who Kanye's become artistically. She's not some old lady whining about hip hop, because we know she loves it. I think the "lit" line is a double entendre, the second meaning being that "the culture" is literally on fire. A lot of people she admired are dead and gone, or changed, the world is in ecological collapse, life is too fast paced, and people are more interested in watching their fave's livestreams than they are in worrying about anything real. She's had a good time, but she's done now. She's got no hope for the world.
But at it's core, I think it's just a song about heartbreak. It reads like her having a (possibly drunken?) breakdown. It begins with him being gone, that's the catalyst, and then it's her missing New York and the indie scene and being sick of fame, before it spirals into absolutely nothing about the world being right anymore.

I'm very picky and particular when it comes to aesthetics and the way things are lined up in photos etc, so when I first saw the cover I immediately thought it was too busy, too unsymmetric, too much (and that it kinda belonged in one of those unsatisfying video compilations lmao).
BUT (and this doesn't happen that often for me) after letting it sink in for a hot sec it's suddenly feels really cohesive and pleasing to look at. When comparing NFR to her other covers, I realised that the simplicity of the others actually makes me more prone to focus on the things I think look weird or bad. Anygays this prob didn't make any sense and I'm not sure how to post pics yet bcs this is my first time

Y’all really prefer that boring sewer picture over the campy one that fits well with an actual concept? Questionable taste

Stop complaining about the album cover. It's literally iconic and funny and much bettet than the gross LFL's cover
