  1. Police say a post-mortem on Peaches Geldof has proved inconclusive, and toxicology tests will be conducted in an attempt to determine cause of death.

The 25-year-old daughter of musician and campaigner Bob Geldof was found dead at her home in Kent on Monday.

Police said at the time that her death was being treated as "non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden".

The toxicology tests could take "several weeks" to come through, police said on Wednesday.

"Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death in order to compile a report for the coroner," they added in a statement.

Kent County Council has said it will make "a decision on whether there needs to be an inquest" based on the final results of the post-mortem.

  2. Peaches Geldof, second daughter of musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, has died aged 25, leaving a husband and two sons.

"We are beyond pain," said her father, confirming her death. "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us."

Police, who were called to an address in Kent around lunchtime on Monday, say the death is currently being treated as "unexplained and sudden".

Geldof was 11 when her own mother died.

TV presenter Yates died of an accidental drug overdose in September 2000. In September 2012 Geldof said she did not come to terms with her mother's death for several years.

Bob Geldof said: "How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?

"We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is."

In a statement, Kent Police said: "Police were called at 13:35 BST on 7 April, 2014 to an address near Wrotham following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman.

"A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death."

    Bob Geldof's statement

Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

Writing "was" destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.

    so many people dying lately ;_;

  3. morrocone was registered on hfa but isn't an unleaked song or a song for ultraviolence - I don't know exactly what it is but it has to do with young and beautiful - Ennio Morricone, Grand Officer OMRI, is an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor and former trumpet player, who has written music for more than 500 motion pictures and television series, as well as contemporary classical works. ... So please stop saying it's an unleaked song..

How does that mean it's not a song? It was registered as a song, maybe she named it after him.

  4. But doesn't there come a point where you realize someone is actually so douchey that you can no longer have any positive feelings towards them and their objective hotness is negated so much that there can no longer be any attraction?

Also, maybe it's just because I'm straight, but I've never understood his appeal in the first place. Sure, kind of a pretty boy face, but marred by the face tats, and a body that's nothing special, marred by stupid tats. (To paraphrase Obama, I don't oppose all tattoos. What I am opposed to is a dumb tattoo.)

Not everyone needs to be emotionally attracted to someone to be sexually attracted to them.

Well, he's a model so his looks must appeal to a lot of people. I think he has a very nice facial bone structure and he's very tall and thin. His tattoos are probably one of his main appeals.

    Very well said.

Apart from the whole twitter diss drama, I think what also bothers people is the general attitude he displays on his social media and through interviews. His dj-carrier :quote: , his skating abilities :quote:   and his constant need to namedrop all the drugs he does makes him come off veerry try hard, exactly the kind of wanna be bad-hipster that is so easy to hate. On top of that he doesn't seem to be awfully nice to people, so he's an easy target and I think I've litterally shaken my head once or twice irl.

However that of course doesn't take away from the work he has done with Lana. A matter of personal taste, but the BJ and BtD videos seem to be well recieved in general, so he can't have been all that bad in them. Lana herself does and says things I don't agree with and I still love her as an artist. Let's save the judgement for when the video drops.

I didn't know he did drugs, I thought he had a straight edge tattoo lol.

  5. I just found this and really like it, better than her thoughts on feminism in the Electronic Beats interview:

She discussed how her romance has led many to label her an anti-feminist: “I get it. It looks like I’ve chosen a path of submission," she explained. "But I’m a modern day woman in so many senses. I pay my way and work hard for things but it is my choice that at the end of the day I have a dominant male in my life that is hands-on. Someone who wants what he wants the way I do. I get so tired of trying to have it only my way, it’s nice to have someone else who also has their life and opinions. I have to be so assertive in life that it's nice to feel escape through a really passionate romance.”

  6. Except some of the concert venues have been mentioning Ultraviolence in their promotion...

Do you really think they were told Lana was going to perform Ultraviolence at their shows though? Don't you think it's much more likely they know she's going to release a new album called Ultraviolence someday and are just using that hype to promote their show?

  7. Dan Auerbach said UV was recorded live with a 7 piece band (guitar, bass, drums, string quartet?) so I'm thinking she's already got her UV set figured out. I guess we'll find out when she starts her tour on the 11th so it's not that long to wait anyway. Maybe she'll repeat the Paradise tour + perform West Coast (but I really hope not. She wanted to close her BTD chapter with Tropico.)

She's already announced UV and West Coast so I don't see a reason to release it later than June. Once Upon A Dream came out like 3 days after it was found on Amazon so I think the record label is gonna start dropping songs more suddenly than before. I guess the wait for Tuesday/first tour date isn't life or dead atm so we can easily just wait it out and see what happens! She's definitely getting better at keeping her music locked up hahah

But why would she release an album during a tour that isn't even an "Ultraviolence" tour? Nobody does that, she won't get to promote it decently. I think the tour this year is just another Born to Die/Paradise tour for America and some festivals because she's popular right now.

  8. You'll probably get a better show if you're seated. I was in the middle of the front row but I could barely hear her because everyone around me was singing so loudly, you won't have that problem when you're seated. You also won't be squashed for like 2 hours straight.

  9. I'm 99.987863948% sure that Rob is hinting a Tuesday April 8th release. It would be so weird if nothing was reased before she starts her tour on the 11th.

Rob has been hinting and teasing constantly since getting on Twitter, it doesn't mean anything, he's just excited and wants the fans to be, as well. Also, the tour isn't being promoted as having anything to do with Ultraviolence which is weird and makes me think the album won't be released until later in the year (after the tour). In my opinion, it would make sense to expect her to premiere a new song during the tour like she did with Body Electric, start promoting the album after the tour ends, release the album and start a tour supporting Ultraviolence next year.

  10. So on a Thursday and Wednesday, respectively... would be nice and even to release West Coast now on Tuesday, then. Assuming it's coming at all this week. :P

    Video Games - June 29, 2011 (Wednesday)

Born to Die - December 22, 2011 (Thursday)

Off to the Races - January 6, 2012 (Friday)

    Carmen - January 26, 2012 (Thursday)

    Blue Jeans - April 6, 2012 (Friday)

    Summertime Sadness - June 22, 2012 (Friday)

    National Anthem - July 6, 2012 (Friday)

    Blue Velvet - September 20, 2012 (Thursday)

    Ride - September 25, 2012 (Tuesday)

    Dark Paradise - March 1, 2013 (Friday)

    Burning Desire - March 19, 2013 (Tuesday)

    Young & Beautiful - April 23, 2013 (Tuesday)

    Once Upon a Dream - January 26, 2014 (Sunday)

You all need to stop expecting a Tuesday release just because one person said that "all singles are released on Tuesdays".

  11. I think it was already pointed out somewhere in these boards that the word "ultra" has a double meaning: extremely (as in ultramodern) and beyond (as in ultraviolet). Interestingly, the choice between succumbing to violence and going beyond violence is also reflected in the final chapter of A Clockwork Orange in which Alex willingly foregoes violence: the chapter was omitted in some editions because the publisher thought it was unrealistic (Kubrick ditto). Looking back at Lana's reference to violence in Bel Air ("the violentest kind of love") she will probably also interpret "ultraviolence" not as a choice between the two meanings but, on another level, as a union of them, like a combination of masculine thrust and feminine nurturance. All of this would be a continuation of Lana's previous efforts to portray the struggle to reconcile the masculine and feminine impulses into something creative and the tragic consequences - destructive or numbing - of the failure to do so.

I think something like what you said was said before but you can't really take a word that was invented for one book and has a very specific meaning and is only used in that context, twist it to make it romantic and use it for your album. In the book it's used to refer to extreme violence and nothing more than that, it's not some deep concept, it's just one word, part of the dialect Anthony Burgess invented.

  12. No Never, I don't play with your poor soul ....  It's official, in sweetlife festival ( Maryland), they tweet " Lana Del Rey will perform her new album during the sweetlife festival, It's not a joke. I can't wait !

I don't think artists send the venues their set lists months in advance, they're just trying to promote the festival. If she doesn't perform the album, Lana fans should ask for their money back tbh, false advertising.

  13. This is a bit of a weird question, but could someone link me to the photos of all of Lana's old Facebook posts? I mean the ones like this:

    tumblr_n13dt3nkVw1rab19lo1_500.png

They make me laugh so much, I just wanted to see what other ones there are. Thank you!

OMG, I would love it too <3

I don't think we really openly share this stuff because it's very personal and it's already bad enough everyone knows her Facebook account, sorry.

  14. I feel like maybe she just "came up" with it like she did with hollywood sadcore and surf noir and hawaiian glam metal. Idk, this doesn't sound like Lana at all. She doesn't even play any instruments. Like, it'd be interesting but Lana Del Rey and indie rocker Dan Auerbach making jazz? Nope....

Nu jazz is an umbrella term coined in the late 1990s to refer to music that blends jazz elements with other musical styles, such asfunksoulelectronic dance music, and free improvisation.[1] Also written nü-jazz or NuJazz, it is sometimes called electronic jazzelectro-jazzelectric jazze-jazzjazztronicajazz housephusionneo-jazzfuture jazz or jazz-hop and electro-lounge.

    According to critic Tony Brewer,

“Nu Jazz is to (traditional) Jazz what punk or grunge was to Rock, of course. [...] The songs are the focus, not the individual prowess of the musicians. Nu Jazz instrumentation ranges from the traditional to the experimental, the melodies are fresh, and the rhythms new and alive. It makes Jazz fun again.”

Also, I'm not expecting a surprise release at all, she's just teasing like she did with all of her other releases. Btw, visual album is not an actual thing, Beyonce or her marketing team made that word up. Releasing a music video for every track isn't that uncommon (neither are surprise releases).
