I can already tell I'm going to have Rob's album on repeat while I'm working... I often listen to the instrumental versions of Lana's albums on Youtube while I work because the lyrics would distract me too much but I still like having a Lana vibe going, and that's absolutely what I'm getting from the songs we've heard so far... chill vibes, good for focus.

Why is this video making me cry???  I love that after so much heartbreak, her last couple of albums and this one are about family love, her friends, and self love. So sweet and pure. 

I like that not only do they refute the idea that Rob somehow bought Lana’s success, they show that she’s helping make his career… the exact opposite. “Mom, I am a rich man” Cher vibes. 

Robert Fucking Grant!!!  This album will be so peaceful and beautiful... anxiety-soothing day-at-the-beach vibes. This is a beautiful song, and I LOVE the underwater effect on some of Lana's vocals; she chose a raw, intimate sound for this very personal project, and while that may not be everyone's taste, it's a deliberate artistic choice; it reminds me of White Dress in that way, the choice to sing outside her comfort zone for a vulnerable, sort of wistful feeling. 

And then there’s Donoghue

When she learns she’s running out of time (around the one hour 15 min mark) she says, “I wanna do my 2 songs” and then “ok skip Bittersweet” so I’m dying to know what it is now!!! 

The beginning was messy, yes, but she seemed to relax and truly start having fun around Ride/BTD and it was wonderful then! She seemed downright giddy (or high?? Lol) and vibing with the audience. It was like watching her fall back in love with performing, so special 

Acc to LDR Closets, her dress was Zimmermann, so she's still in her Zimmermann era! Not surprising since she wore this one for Women in Music. Time to look at their current catalog and try to predict what she'll wear for the rest of the festival.  My money's on this one and this one, although I wish she's go for this one because it's so fun and summer and retro. 

She said she wanted to do an outro but they wouldn't let her.
