  1. 24 would be much more of a fan fav if it had been performed live - even just the first verse, first chorus then bridge/outro would've been perfect! you can't tell me the build up to "you're hard to REEEEEACH! ya cold to touuuuuuch" wouldn't slay live :defeated:

i also wish we had live performances of God Knows I Tried - i think the fanbase would feel differently about the song / more endeared to the song if it had been performed during her BBC Radio 1 live session along with Honeymoon and Terrence Loves You, it's such an atmospheric song and the vocals are stun :legend:

  2. just watched the launch episode! better late than never :oic2:  was nottt a fan of the editing / weird rushed style at ALL and thought the hosts weren't great as a duo - i actually wish it was just one of them presenting because i'm not sure they have chemistry and they seemed to worry about stepping on each other's lines a lot?? but first night nerves must be scary, so maybe they'll get into the groove soon enough! i thought the guy's humour (can't remember his name!) was a little bit more of a natural fit in terms of the format but for what it's worth i could quite happily watch AJ Odudu in that blue catsuit every minute of my life cause lord :defeated:

anyways! my fave so far is actually Jordan! he just seems odd and endearing but i really really really hope he's not a tory or any form of bigot bc my opinion of him will change so fast... :toofunny: i love that we have the classic house drama queen in the form of Olivia, i'll be gutted if she goes too soon bc we neeeeed shit stirrers in the season, even if i did feel bad for Jenkin. speaking of which, Jenkin seems like a lot of fun and i think he's gonna make great tv! i'm looking forward to Trish and Henry inevitably butting heads bc of how different their views are. Dylan seems lovely, Zak seems like a nice lad, i love how Hallie greeted every single person with a hug and was the first to do so, Matty could be good fun, Noky seems lovely, Farida fits the mother role perfectly.

so far my expectations aren't tooooo high but i'm pleasantly surprised with how much i enjoyed the launch! i've watched BBUK for as long as i can remember, i think it was around season 5 when i started watching when i was about 6 years old?? good lord :toofunny: but i wasn't a fan of the most recent seasons with the exception of the celeb seasons. this cast seems fab tho, so i'm deffo gonna try stick around for as long as it stays interesting!

    Fr I didn't even know there's a King Krule thread ☠️

Super happy for you!!! Glad you enjoyed the show! He was in my country this year but i couldn't go :bebe:

I love the new album, it feels really personal and it makes me cry too often :toofunny: Incredible production and stroyline

Seagirl has Stargirl vibes for me I love it

thank you honey bun!! i agree, the new album is just gorgeous and so personal :flutter: i really feel like there should be a bigger crossover between lana fans and KK fans! i dream of them collaborating constantly :pray2:

  4. i really love your setlist! i've been thinking about how i'd improve or change the setlist myself, this is what i came up with while trying to be realistic:

    1. A&W
    2. Peppers (the instantly upbeat vibe of the song would fit so naturally after A&W's ending! and the dancers could kill it here!)
    3. Diet Mountain Dew [w/ jazzy piano outro leading into...]
    4. Candy Necklace
    5. Young & Beautiful
    6. [interlude / quick change behind the curtain or whatever] Fishtail [shortened] (bc come on, she's literally getting her hair done at this part of the show!! lol)
    7. Tulsa Jesus Freak [shortened]
    8. Born To Die
    9. Cherry
    10. Blue Jeans [maybe w/ a sort of extended band jam outro to give her time to go down to the barricade?]
    11. The Grants
    12. Ride [w/ monologue intro of course!]
    13. Grandfather Please Stand On The Shoulders of My Father (i think this song would sound so ethereal live, especially w/ the backup singers doing the "three white butterflies" line!)
    14. Norman Fucking Rockwell
    15. Chemtrails Over The Country Club [w/ outro drums leading into the intro drums of...]
    16. West Coast
    17. Let The Light In
    18. Brooklyn Baby
    19. Taco Truck x VB
    20. Summertime Sadness
    21. The Greatest
    22. Cherry Blossom [or any other recent piano ballad really! something from BB would be preferable, she could switch it up throughout the tour]
    23. Video Games
    24. Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard

it seems like a p long setlist, but some of the songs would be shortened so i dont think it would be totally impossible for her to pull it off! but of course this is just a dreamland of a setlist while trying to maintain some realism LOL

  5. why does this thread get no action! we can't have so few KK stans on this forum, we simply can't :trisha:

anyways! i saw him live in manchester last night :flutter: it's the second time i've seen him, the first time was in 2017 when he toured The Ooz and that was an absolutely amazing experience. my boyfriend took me this time around which was super special bc back when we were like 16 we were king krule obsessives and every single time i listened to king krule i thought of him - when we lost contact for a few years i couldn't listen to king krule anymore bc it made me too sad :toofunny: but now that we're all grown up (25 and 26 wtf!!! :rip:) and finally together, being able to be at a king krule show with him was just craaaaazy and so magical and emotional.

i cried during Baby Blue! as i did the first time around LOL. archy sounded incredible, but my god i couldn't see a single thing LOL it was full of 6ft-whatever men!! just my luck!! but that's fine!! i mostly went for my boyfriend, since it was his first time seeing KK live. even though i couldn't see anything (and it was a venue without screens or whatever) he sounded incredible. i liked the setlist and it was quite balanced between the albums but i do think there were a few songs there notable in their absence; would've been nice to have had the full Baby Blue (he only did part of it), really hoped for Border Line since it's my boyfie's favourite song of all time, maybe something a little older and surprising like Little Wild (which i got to experience when i saw him the first time) or something like Portrait In Black and Blue or Has This Hit or Octopus or something?? but all in all, a really beautiful experience!! and what a talent he is!!
