  1. no matter how far she evolves he always has to mention how badly he dislikes her past work. this is a problem with so many critics, they can never solely focus on the current project and always have to bring up past work or actions from the artist outside of the music.
  2. Anthony is so predictable at this point lmao, his review will include something about how her early work was immature and a façade trying to gaslight the public into thinking she's someone she isn't then he'll bring up how the new album doesn't equate to the prestige sophistication of NFR but it's still a step in the right direction from the calamity that was her first 3 albums. he says the same thing every time
  3. the pre-order will probably come early june .. that's if the album the album is still coming in july but i think it could come very soon since it seems like wildflower was finished just a few days ago lmao
  4. right? it doesn't sound like a mike production at all but it's still really beautiful. i think this was only an appetizer of what's to come from them, he mentioned classic lana sounds like strings and the drums of WW remind me of some of the drum samples on BTD so i think it's only gonna get better from here
  5. the way we haven't heard those ambient background samples since honeymoon maybe.. text bible is giving us everything and more
  6. wildflower sounds like it would play at a funeral .. ugh it's so haunting
  7. ok but can we get a preorder i don't like having all the singles being separated
  8. BoZ literally said these songs are for an album idk why anyone thinks these are just standalone singles
  9. i just realized she skips springs because the man she sings about came back every may
  10. she mentions being in the hospital after the line about her mother (wildflower wildfire) so maybe she had her admitted?

    Text Book

people want to villainize her so bad, someone said the lyric has nothing to do with the rest of the song and she's just making it about her daddy issues but the entire chorus is about rewriting history and she says at the end she wishes her father was there to do it with her cause he's passionate about it too.
  12. well i think these songs are on the same level as the 3 ballads on ultraviolence
  13. the cocc/nfr comparisons already just cause yall heard some piano if anything this is giving ultraviolence's successor but it's still very much its own thing. the unconventional melodies and rough production work together harmoniously and the revealing lyrics to top it all off really pack a punch. i think she's found the perfect balance between songwriter and poet, some of her best work ever.
  14. i see people complaining about the mixing but i looove the rough sound of the production it fits with the hard hitting topics of the lyrics
  15. i never expected her to get this personal the lyrics about her mother .. pain
