a delay isn't that big of a deal cause at least we know when she delays something that she's still working on it and adding to it, unlike some artists who will sit on music that's been finished for years. -
please i doubt she’s gonna rush the release if anything leaks, she should do a regular rollout and drop a few singles over the span of a few months to give herself sometime to finish the film but she won’t.

"wash my mouth out with soap" is a very old reference when parents would put soap in their children's mouth if they said a bad word. it worked perfectly.
-
it's funny how she avoids anything related to chromatica, she hasn't said a word about the remix album but threw an entire shindig for BTW and now they're releasing a tribute album... rightfully so as it is the better album
-
i hope the featured artists actually remix the songs and bloodpop isn’t handling the production

some of yall need a reminder that this thread is dedicated to unpopular opinions and you don't have to agree with or rebuttal against them nothing in here is objective or factual, it's all personal.

i think everyone involved somewhat knew NFR would garner tons of acclaim and that's why they made her change the cover to make it appear more artsy. now they just let her do whatever -

imagine if she used one of her baby pictures as the album cover. instantly iconic. -

and on this topic even tho it's off topic for this thread but this is where the conversion is happening people seem to usually to bring up songs like tiwmug and others referencing drugs and exclaim how juvenile they are and she doesn't need to continue with those themes but the entire point of lana's question for the culture is that she wants to write about whatever the fuck she wants without being crucified whether is drugs, her relationships or whatever that people have deemed immature or romanticized by her. if she thought she was above singing about that kind of stuff then i'm sure she wouldn't have expressed how those criticisms deeply affect her. -

yes.. this leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever people say this it feels like "she's old now so she can't do something fun" yall forget she made a trap pop song in 2019 lol and i don't want another btd from her, i'm happy with the music she's making now but don't rule something out just cause she's older -
this conversion is a couple days old but i haven't been viewing this thread lately and i thought i'd give my two cents . i absolutely hated how each song is supposed to represent a different year that she was in school when in the movie most of the songs served as immediate consequences to previous songs (class fight and the principal, show & tell and nurses office, lunchbox friends & orange juice) and the fact that she was starting in first grade alludes that she was 1-7(?) during everything that occurred during cry baby.. i always imagined cry baby getting older as the album goes on hence the themes getting more mature and by the end she would've at least been a teenager cause what toddler is comprehending the idea of plastic surgery and stealing someone else's boyfriend? the giant metaphor that the character original was got completely squashed by putting her in school. i think it would've made more sense had the follow up album been about the 4 years of high school which would not only make more sense for the character but the album could've been a lot more relatable by focusing on depression, anxiety, drug use, and the oppression and insecurities teenagers face caused by their peers.. you know, shit that people in school can actually relate to.. anyway i'm just really hoping she ditches the child themes for the next album, she has so much potential and she's proven she knows how to write good music outside of that concept she just has to be able to move forward.

.....? -
exactly. it all depends on how it's done and that goes for any instrument/genre. i wouldn't want her to return back to a cinematic sound if it isn't gonna be done right like 13 beaches and a majority of the strings on NFR just aren't pleasant to listen to imo cause they're so computerized. the piano work on these 3 recent singles songs is spectacular and more complex which sets them apart from certain ballads that fell a little flat cause they'd just use the same 3 chords over and over again.

god i love these songs so much they're just unbelievably beautiful i didn't even like myself or love the life i had and there you were with shining stars standing blue with open arms

maybe it's all part of telling her story and the next batch of singles will tell another part. all three of the songs connect i think with text book and wildflower wildfire addressing the relationship she had with both her father and mother then in blue banisters she's letting us know she found comfort in her girlfriends that she didn't have with her family. -

blue banisters goes straight into the vocals and ends with piano and the synth fading out text book starts with crickets and guitar and ends with white noise wildflower wildfire starts with piano and ends with an organ (i think) that stops suddenly
