I’m looking at most album announcements (including Lana’s own) and they range between 1 months to 3 months. NFR was announced in July and released in August. Ocean Blvd was announced in December and released in March. I’m looking at other artists and it’s the same. This is by far the longest gap from announcement to release. Why is that? What prompted her to announce this album so early? Literally a 7 months gap.

Oh and btw, this is NOT under any new releases and New Music Friday playlists because the date is wrong . That’s why the streams have been so horrible. Yes, it’s a Wednesday release, but Wednesday releases on Spotify or any releases through out the week will get included in all the new release playlists on Friday anyway. Because the date is wrong, it’s not on any release playlists as if it never came out . I’m going to assume this is intentional. I can’t see her team being this STUP!D (Although, I just remember the “Say Yes To Heaven” remix release which fvcked up the song’s streams and artwork for a while). I assume they are trying to BURY this release. But the question is why? And why bother releasing it at all?

The lead single for Lasso is a cover? Oh we need to lower expectation bad for this project. The lead single coming 10 months before the album release and it’s a cover . Actually, Lost At Sea remix is her latest release.

Country Tanks better not be on Lasso that’s all I gotta say.

The summer mini live shows/tour helped her voice a lot. She sounds 2012 - 2013 here (Henry Come On and this). Strong low notes. Less slurring. More concise singing/wording. We can understand what she’s singing again. She sounds freer (like you can hear her voice is more open and relaxed). More flexible. Chestier. You’d think touring would make her sound worse (like a lot of other artists). Also, this is why I don’t mind her singing less in shows. She needs to preserve her voice. So many signers lose their voice because of touring. But in Lana’s case, the opposite happened. She sounds better during the tour and after it. The consistent usage exercised her voice after not being used much at all during the pandemic period. As much as I love OB, she sounds very constricted on most of that album. Listening to the album always gives me an image of a boiling kettle in my mind. The squeaky sound . Like it’s about to burst. Actually, her voice was like that when she started the 2023 live shows. The Brazil shows (MITA festival) was like that. Her throat was dry and tight. She sounded horse and constricted. Thankfully her voice gradually got better and better with the subsequent shows.

This is really good if we don’t count the overly long outro. A much better cover than Take Me Tank, Country Tanks. Genuinely one of best Blue Skies versions I’ve heard (honestly better than Ella and Frank Sinatra’s version if we only count the singing part), but overall, it’s just too short and unnecessary long at the same time . I love the part where she’s in it. Love her voice in this. Absolutely love the arrangement. I also love the production. It’s giving old black and white cartoons. But I wish it was longer. It’s too short and too much dead air at the end (why did they include that at the end? just make the song 1:50 or something, this will tank the streaming numbers henny ). It’s barely a song lol. They should’ve just let it be a short song if that’s what they were going for instead of trying to extended like that. Or just make it a real full song (more instrumentation or ad libs towards the end or even just repeat the lyrics/part of the song again). This filler thing does not work for me. Also, I shouldn’t even mention streaming numbers because this won’t do sh!t despite how good it is. The structure is fucked up. This could’ve been another Stargirl type smash if it were just 1:50. Maybe not on that level exactly, but it would certainly do a lot better than what it will be doing, that’s for sure. The outro kills the replayability of the song. Idk another flop/missed opportunity. Will not be replayed or playlisted sorry.

Manifesting something truly authentic and transcending for Lana. A timeless sound. And nothing like Beyoncé’s effort. I just listened to it and it’s bad, I’m sorry. Idk it just sounds wack to me. Her delivery does not sound country at all. It just sounds phony. The melodies are not good. In with one ear out with the other. Not memorable. No reaction. Milquetoast. I didn’t feel a thing. It’s contemporary in a bad way. The songs has a trendy sound rather than something truly timeless. It just has that sound. The production in particular. Texas giving Kidz Bop and 16 Carriages, the beat sounds like a hip hop song. I don’t like the production on either songs. It did not click with me. The Henry Come On snippet is much better. I have hopes for Lana. Also, please no features. 12 tracks solo album full of classics, PLEASE.

I remember people saying how she has a high chance because of this . It’s actually the opposite knowing the results now. They were definitely surprised by the votes and not in a positive way.

We need to start piecing things together. The shooting range she was at (that was circulating recently) wasn’t just for fun methinks. It’s giving horses, mountain ranges, waterfalls, cowboys, old west gun fights, western saloons . NOT farms. This has the potential to be really good.

You need to look up what a legacy artist means. Even that lady knew she fucked it hence why she added “in her prime”.

She used Summertime Sadness REMIX. And she HATED HATED that song. Read the room. Edit: it’s actually a different remix . Not the Cedric one.

We (you) need to stop calling Lana that. It’s not the compliment you think it is. She’s still actively working in the industry and reaching new peaks. Not a fad or has been.

This lie. The hate isn’t hating as her streaming numbers are 📈 📈 📈 daily. The hate is coming from people who have never cared about her and probably never will. There are no effects on her numbers at all. She was flopping bad in 2020/2021. An era after NFR should be MASSIVE but it TANKED. And honestly, I don’t think QFTC was the reason why she tanked in 2021. It was the music itself. Chemtrails was just too low key and similar to NFR. Lasso will more than likely double ChemTANKS first week debut sales. Also, I’m really coming around to Lana doing country as long as it’s real country. Different from her discography. If it’s still like Chemtrails which is basically NFR 2.0 with a bit of country. It will BOMB again. A true genre shift is needed.

The public isn’t the one voting. Candy Necklace won the Alt award at the VMAs because of public voting.

Lana needs to make more commercial music. I think she’ll win by doing so. At the end of the day, the songs need to appeal to the most people voting in order to win. It’s not a “popularity contest” but it’s still sort of. Either that or just stop submitting her music like The Weeknd and Drake.

Taylor’s new album with Lana and Lasso featuring Taylor is coming mefears.

The Grammys also set a new rule just this year, so Lana couldn’t win a Grammy if Taylor or Jon won lol. It used to be that everyone on the album that won Album Of The Year also got the Grammy. Someone is out there to get her for sure. And I’m starting to think most of the artist or at least their team knew the winners before hand. Why? Taylor’s team (twitter account) was teasing the Grammys all weekend. Lana announced her brand new album on a random Pre-Grammy event where she got to give a speech. That’s when I knew she wouldn’t win because her team most likely got tipped about it, so she had to announce it at a side event because she would not be giving a speech at the ceremony. Both of their teams (Taylor and Lana) got tipped ahead of time. Also, her outfit looks like a mourning to me.

Y’all need to stop saying this. Critics have come around and love Lana. Ocean Blvd is very high on the year end lists + A&W is #1. NFR topped almost every lists. The Grammys are industry voted. Meaning Singers, Writers, and Producers.

Her make-up and hair here devour compared to the other pre-grammy event recently. Thank god.

I’m sorry but she better get Pam and Anna back for the main event. Or the person that did her billboard event: The dress is a great, but she looks sickly here. The make up is not giving. It’s too pale. The hair is too flat.
