Yall are too worried about what other people think. Lana has never been one for big vocals in her live performance but she’ll give you the sad girl fantasy every time. This set has been great.

Her vocals and tone *were beautiful. It shifted with NFR that she started to sing more head voice. It’s obvious and I’ve been saying this that part of her chest voice is damaged. That’s why she’s started singing higher again but this time with no support unlike her Lizzy days. Her voice was high in her Lizzy Grants days but very resonant. Now she can barely sing a full verse without breaks.

It’s the smoking and the vapes for sure. Obviously, aging as well but there are plenty of singers who still have good voices with age. L4na voice is still good but definitely not as pleasant tonally and as flexible as it once was.

Omg guys I don't wanna be negative she looks gorgeous etc but these vocals are a step back from the tour

It’s giving MITA festival which ironically was also the first show last year. Her mic was too low and her voice sounds constricted. She definitely needs to do a proper warm up show (one or two) before a big show like this.

I noticed this too. It is so interesting how they just never get her audio engineering right. Do you guys remember when we got that super HQ performance but we could barely hear her because the instrumentals were drowning her out

B!llie who is a really quiet singer like way more than L4na. Her mic is always tuned correctly in live shows. They need to get whoever B!llie’s employing.

  4. The intro was iconic. But the show :rip:. Who thought it was a good idea to have “Without You” opened the show esp after that trap remix of Jealous Girl. That was so anti-climactic and such a vibe killer. Also, way too much production and it’s drowning her out.  The vocals were not it :rip:. I’m having flashbacks to MITA festival. She’s trembling and nervous.

She sounds best at Glastonbury 2023. Too bad the show was cut short.

    My final guest predictions:

    Jon Batiste

    Father John Misty

    Billie Ellish

    A$AP Rocky

She’s not going to bring out that many people :rip:. One maybe two people max. There’s literally not enough time to have that many people.

And besides you don’t want too many “guests” on stage. It’s HER show not theirs.

A peek at Lana’s stage design… I think this pretty much confirms Billie as a guest as it features the same balcony she was seen soundchecking on yesterday… x

Oh my, it’s huge and so beautiful. It’s giving gates of heaven and like someone said already Juliet's balcony from Romeo and Juliet. Say Yes To Heaven vibes, but also so Salvatore coded. Say Yes To Heaven is going to sound and looks so good here.

I can envision multiple Honeymoon songs.

  7. When T4ylor uses L4na headlining slot to promote her upcoming album, it’s going to be such a slay!  /s. Putting this out there first, so you all won’t be surprised because that is exactly what’s going to happen. T4ylor’s album is coming out literally around Coachella time (exactly Weekend 2). She’ll use Weekend 1 for promo. Literally “My new album is coming out next week”. She’s going to use this to a full effect. A smart business woman (is what the TS stans would say). Me?.. I would say she’s being inconsiderate and tacky once again.

L4na helping out another unknown artist while ignoring her own promo. I’m just cackling here and at this point I’m not even mad at T4ylor anymore.

i must say this is confusing as fuck for a transition into country music

We’re still in the Ocean Blvd era henny. L4na definitely made an oopsie announcing the album way too early (unprepared, random, spontaneous like she always does) before her management, label, team whatever is ready.

I’m not expecting anything Lasso related until at the very least July.

On the side note, maybe it’s not really an oopsie. L4na might have known about the country albums coming from various artists, and she simply wants to get word out about hers before anyone else. Also, to get ahead and shut down those people that will be accusing her of copying the country album thing that every artist is doing now. Since she’s one of the early ones (because of the early announcement), they can’t say she is copying anyone.

  9. Manifesting a 11 to 12 tracks album with no random interludes, collabs, and covers. All L4na. Hit after hit. No skips. Each songs are smashes and can be replayed endlessly. The album itself can be played back to back endlessly. Song lengths between 2 - 4 minutes. Please, make normal music again. We got enough of the artsy fartsy stuff. Time to be normal.

this is her shot of singing and belting Cherry's outro like once she did :true: I will be very pissed if she doesn't sing that part again

It makes you think that she doesn't trust her vocals. maybe she really doesn't idk

I don’t think it’s about her not trusting her vocals. Or any hesitation.

She sang that part at Glastonbury 2023 LIVE. That’s a big festival that was being broadcasted live. Messing up would be tragic (she did :toofunny:, but not because of her vocals). If she didn’t trust her vocals, she wouldn’t have sang it at that particular event. She knew she had to show off and she did.

She didn’t do it much at a regular date is probably due to voice preservation.

The Beyoncé and Lana comparisons aren’t even that fair at this point. Beyoncé is working with some of the best producers/songwriters in the industry and Lana just has Jack Antonoff.

you cant rly make this argument when jack has just won producer of the year at the grammys and has produced folklore and nfr, which are both praised for their insanely good productions

    11 hours ago, LifeOnMars said:

I didn’t mean that he is a bad producer. Just that Lana limits herself a lot by having the same main producer on now the 4th album. Aaron Dessner produced the majority of folklore not Jack, and it’s one of Taylor’s best received albums while midnights isn’t that well liked despite winning AOTY.  Solar Power was panned and now Lorde is working with new people. It looks like St. Vincent ditched Jack for her newest album as well and her new songs are very good.

Bey0nce has nothing to contribute besides vocals. And when I say vocals, I mean literally just the voice. Not even the singing melody because most of the time she’s just karaokeing to someone else’s pre-made demo. “the best producers/songwriters in the industry” yeah, because she NEEDS it. She HAS to work with a whole village of people. The undermining of L4na’s contribution is crazy. Regardless of who’s L4na is working with, it’s still going to come out sounding the exact same because she’s fully in charged of her art: aesthetics/music/sound.

You all seem to forget J4ck’s own music is actually very upbeat and poppy. His work with L4na is nothing of the sort. Ocean Blvd sounds nothing like Bleacher’s music.

Also, please listen to “Henry, Come On”. And now listen to Lvkr L4ird’s music. Lvke is very much a radio friendly producer (even more so than J4ck). He loves radio and make country music suited for radio. He makes radio hits. I listen to a few podcasts about him. They can not stop talking about hits, charts, and radio. He also said he wants to make a good song first. But listening to him talk about the process of his music, it’s clear that the frame work and the main goal of his songwriting is still very much what sounds good on the radio. Very likely, UMG pushed L4na to work with Lvkr La!rd to make more upbeat radio hits.

And “Henry, Come On” is the result which once again is not radio friendly at all. She turned a hit making bop producer to make another slow song. It’s giving Hip-Hop producer M!ke De4n’s Wildflower Wildfire teas.

  12. Beyoncé cover reminds me of Paradise (EP)/ The Paradise Edition cover. Not the same picture per se, but it gives off the same vibe/energy. Very polished and velvety. It also looks very uncanny valley. Stiff pose due to over photoshopping. L4na looks like Michael Jackson there and both covers have animatronic-esque pose.

    clockwise-from-bottom-left-geminoid-hi-s

Let’s not mention the animal abuse with Beyoncé’s cover. Hopefully, Lana stays AWAY from that concept.

I genuinely wonder if that is a possibility lmao😭

Reducing L4na to a fvcking “remix” is a little disrespectful.

Hopefully, L4na is just being courteous not actually wanting to collaborate with him coz :biblio:. She needs to stop doing these khia collabs. It’s getting a little TOO MUCH.

Hopefully, she’s posing with a saddle and bridle free horse (no riding). I’m certain there will be horses involved because that leak about a western project or whatever.

I just hope everything is thought through. We don’t need more allegations (animal abuse).

Love her but Lasso is such a funny title name to me :deadbanana:seems she wants to make it known that it’ll obviously be a country album, but to me it’s like naming the album “Cowboy Boots” or “Saddle”

It’s not funny at all to me. It’s a really cool word that was a very cool imagery attached to it for me. Nothing tacky like Cowboy Boots or Saddle like your saying. That’s like saying she’s naming it “Shoe” or something. Which she DID NOT.

How do I say this? Let me get an analogy going. She’s not naming her album “Car” or “Vehicle” ok… she chose “Mustang”. They are similar, but Mustang as a title sounds so much cooler. Lasso sounds cool af to me. Honestly, couldn’t be better for an album representing Western, Country, Cowboys, etc. L4na really understands the beauty of words. She gets it. And this is no different. It’s a cool word.
