    no matter what i can't hear "sofa" in candy necklace... i always hear sittin' on the surf feelin' super suicidal

     

    like surf as in how waves form the nice line of foam when the waves break and its in the water but also when they come onto the shore... the surf! idk i dont live on the beach

    i love the idea but also unfortunately kaiman collaborates with him on most of his projects and has for a long time (she models in his photography, does styling, drawing for lana, they might actually be in a relationship??? i can’t figure it out .. or just good friends ..) but anyways she’s basically always involved with his work lana related or not

     

    the mock-up you made though OMFGGGG it looks good … the world where that exists is the world i want to be in

    x VB having a different vocal take with different background vocals, so many hidden vocals too, and different production makes it new and special to me .. definitely an unconventional way to end an album but i love it

    the mention of a drive-by feels intentional as it's a really specific thing that she's only mentioned once before, so i think there is a cross-reference there...

    but their analysis of why aaron greene is k doesn't really make sense – i believe aaron greene actually passed away after (2007) she made songs for sirens (2005-2006)

    Ocean Blvd def didn’t have a lot of promo like OP said. It def had some promo but like, there’s no MVs out yet, sure there’s magazines & interviews but Chemtrails/Banisters did have some as well (not that many, I reckon) & Banisters also had a pop up shop. Also, both of them had more MVs pre-release

     

    it’s true, but taking away comparison to any of her other albums, there still is SOME promo … i mean people were convinced she’d never tour again and now she’s doing shows

     

    my thought was just that she’s done more than what the expectations were — since the expectations were so low :deadbanana:

Ohh, ohhh, AAAHHHHHhh" (If someone also heard it, confirm if I also heard it so people don't think I'm crazy :toofunny:) I don't remember very well and it was in super lq, the point is that it sounded really good, now I feel the need to have Yes to heaven in a deluxe edition (only if it has that kind of changes that improve the song a lot).

    there have been so many fake “reworked versions” of say yes to heaven over the years, so it may have been one of those edits (some of them are pretty intricately done)

     

    i don’t see her doing a deluxe BUTTTT if she does unreleased in her shows … which i feel like COULD happen given their popularity and since she’s done that before … she would maybe do yes to heaven

     

    when she adds yes to heaven but sped up version to the set list and then only sings songs from btd and nfr …

    Much to analyze about that connection

     

    i'm not sure why it says that on genius since there's not really evidence she's talking about that specific mausoleum :toofunny: it's an interesting thought but if you google "rhode island mausoleum" it's the just first result to come up

     

    mausoleums are often the burial place of an entire family / group of family members, so i just interpret the lyric as contemplating familial deaths
