    Thank you so much! I spent ages swapping round the layouts and photos to try and get each photo to work well with each particular song. Am having real trouble with this in the Honeymoon one rn, but I'll figure it out!

    Hi, this is my first time starting a topic (took me a good while to figure out how to share photos on here, haha), but I just wanted to share something I made recently: I got a myself a custom lyrics book printed for Ultraviolence as it has always bothered me that the official one doesn't include the full lyrics. I designed it using Photoshop and I know it's nothing fancy but I really enjoyed putting it all together and I'm pleased with how it has come out. (Want to add a quick thanks to everyone in the Resources thread for researching and sharing all the official fonts they could find. That thread was seriously so helpful! Oh, and the Lyrics thread, obviously very useful as well.)

    I'm currently working on a second book for Honeymoon, using a lot more of my own photos this time. I've nearly finished it, just need to work a few more things out but I'll update this post when I'm done and it arrives.

    Anyway, feel free to critique/tell me ways I can improve on any elements for next time, I know some of the black and white photos didn't print so well so I'm trying to avoid using those in the future. Really pleased I finally found a company that prints images on the spine though, so the spine matches the front cover.

    Oh no! That's so shitty. Why on earth did they think a paper print could survive being posted to a different country with minimal packaging!? What a lousy seller.

    If it's any consolation it does look really good in the frame now. Maybe hang it up really high so you can't see the creases...?

     Oh I'm sorry, I don't know why I just assumed you were in the UK. Ah that sucks! It also doesn't really make sense since they can evidently take orders over the phone.

    I don't know why this magazine is so difficult to purchase, it's like they don't want to make any money on it...

    I couldn't find it in any shops or online so I rang the number they gave on their website and was able to order a copy for UK delivery just 2 days ago : )

    I haven't read it but it's been in my amazon basket for maybe a few years now? Haha. I really like the sound of it as I'm a fan of short story anthologies, but the reviews are pretty mixed. I hope it doesn't shoot up in price now it has been promoted though....

    Welllll that's good, because I made two orders of the same stuff (wanted to add some more bits with the second order) thinking I could just cancel the first lot, but the FAQs say you can't cancel any orders, sooooo.
    Hopefully I can sell them for enough to cover the international postage costs. I'm such a fool. :toofloppy:

    Yeah, that would be much better. There are some real duds in those bundles that I resent paying $5 a piece for. 

    Does anyone here think I'll have a hard time selling on any of this merch in the future? Her apparel doesn't seem to collect the same sort of value that her vinyls and tour merch does, but I want to reassure myself that if I waste a bunch of money now, I could possibly sell them on later if I change my mind... I can't bring myself to narrow down my basket, the things are just too nice (but expensive)  :defeated:

    Oh bloody hell, I thought I was done with spending on this era.... But I missed out on the surf pop-up shop last time and some of this new merch is actually really nicely designed.
    But $25 for some postcards!?! That is actually outrageous.

    As much as I don't want to get my hopes up again for yet another teased project of hers, Lana did reference this again in her latest interview in MOJO this month (sorry if this has already been mentioned btw). In reference to the songs she made with Nikki Lake: 'They have written four more originals; there is also, says Del Rey, "a cover album of country songs" and one of "other folk songs". 
    So hopefully she's still intending on releasing it one day, fingers crossed!

    Okay cool, thanks for the info, that sounds a similar kind of price to what I was finding but then again it's not too surprising that custom vinyls are pricey to get made. Lovely to own though!

    This looks so cool! Nice choice of images. May I ask how much it cost to get this made? I looked into some services in the UK and it seemed pretty expensive to get anything longer than 40 minutes pressed and also have a custom sleeve, but I'd love to put together some unreleased playlists with nice cover artwork and that.

    and regarding the value of UO ultraviolence, it’s most likely it would not lose it’s value, records with less copies are very rare and extremely looked for (also if we left out copies with damage, there’s even less left), even bootlegs of records are expensive, so if they repress exactly the same it will devalue the OG, but if it’s somehow different (extra song/ different cover) the og will remain expensive if that makes sense(?)

    Also v. excited for the potential of a UV repress! Hope it's legit, does anyone have any more sources?
    I have been trying to get my hands on the UO edition for ages and currently can't get one cheaper than £120.
