the mel's diner listening party anyone who got there after like 5:40PM had to wait about 4 hours to get in.. the music was so low volume that you couldn't hear the album.. colton (store owner) did try and make it work but.. it wasn't it on the bright side they did give out pins that were apparently "designed by lana with mel's, since she's a friend of the family, and she wants the fans here to know that she appreciates and loves you so much" i also talked to a guy who was hired by charlie to film/take pics of the event.. he was an open book LMFAO if only y'all knew.. he was adorable tho x

yeah it was really disappointing and like.. felt like a long long wait for nothing. tons of fans left upset.. i don't know why everyone's posting cute pics and not saying how terrible everything was 😭 i love my girl lanita but babe if ur charging $80 for a hoodie that costs you $12 to make can you at least please organize a good event?? they made at least ten times the money they spent on the event. it's just greedy and disorganized.. i doubt lana planned it but.. it's still her event 🤷♂️ the two security guards who ran the huge lines clearly had no training.. they were likely hired from indeed short term,, that's where most of the "security guards" with no proper licensing find work in LA

no.. and chuck came rolling past the entire line of suffering fans on a golf cart laughing and smiling and recording on her camcorder like girl.. at that point i had been let in already i was lmfao watching her roll in waving like the queen

it was bad - very limited merch selection left for anybody who got there after 9:30 AM.. rob and chuck were there though for a bit taking pics w fans and lana talked to a group of fans in the pop up through facetime for a few minutes.. besides that though it wasn't anything special - one of the staff was a raging bitch too. no food or water available either for fans who were standing 7+ hours in the hot hot sun.. just poorly planned and disorganized.. two lines moved at different paces as well (no rsvps were honored, the security guard said "ion know about all that, there are only two lines with no difference, they didn't say anything to us") and some people who came hours later than others got in first.. they also never told ppl to leave and barely ever let new ppl from the line in, tons of fans left crying (several teenage girls crying because their dads were shocked at the prices and wouldn't buy them anything).. also several other issues im just lazy to type out but it was kind of absolutely shitty tbh.. they seem to not have restocked anything so all that was left was leftovers from yesterday on the bright side, the necklace lady was cute and had nice stuff !! robster was cute too and is very excited about the songs with lana from his upcoming album..

yesterday she was supposed to go, there was lots of security set up everywhere and everything seemed ready for her to show up, not sure what happened, probably too many ppl were there and there was no way for her to get in and out bc there's one entrance way and one exit way, so she couldn't get in or out without getting past the fans (that's what happens when you choose for the location of your pop up shop to be a cliff)

I think i'm onto something w this.. So I was driving back to LA from somewhere near Arcadia and I saw the exit sign for "Sierra Madre Blvd" and then immediately noticed that the mountains right behind them were.. boob shaped.. Why do I think it's so possible that Lana was driving and saw that and made it into a lyric maybe her bf was like "babe the mountains match u" and she was like lemme write this down.....

i personally agree with this but i do think that (at least up until very recently among a certain younger demographic) it is widely accepted that when you accept a job and work for a company, you are inherently also accepting that you represent the company while you're working.. that's just the reality of work even though it's frustrating now i personally wouldn't be that annoying person wasting a poor intern's time but it isn't so shocking or that bad of a thing to do so imo, it's sort of their job, as customer service, to appease the annoying bitchy people bc there are lots and lots of those in the world and unfortunately those people are also people who generate income for these businesses which is why the customer service is necessary to appease them so businesses keep making money from them -

these should be separated differently so the meaning is understood !! she's saying.. "My boyfriend tested positive for COVID...It don't matter...We've been kissing so whatever he has I have...I can't cry" the "whatever" should be moved to the next line in front of "he has I have I can't cry", she isn't saying "whatever" as an isolated expression, she's using it to begin a sentence.. its as if she's responding to somebody asking her if she's been around her bf bc they heard he tested positive for covid.. so she's saying they kissed before she knew so whatever (illness - COVID) he has, she will have as well,, she's explaining why "it don't matter" that her bf tested positive for COVID.. idk why it took so many re-listens for the lyric to click for me but now it makes sense.. she sings it as two lines but it's really one i could have explained that in two sentences but i'm high so i did colors and everything

if you go back in my posts i've made several INCREDIBLY LONG posts in a row explaining my in depth analysis of the lyrics including that one with pictures and videos of the performance as well.. it'll be a lot of scrolling but I did explain what it was outside of the spoiler tags so it should be searchable

i think it's Rockefeller as in the richest businessman of all time (look it up) and she's using it as a reference to a type of person that she is singing about, similarly to how the "Harvey's in the sky" line in Cola isn't actually about Harvey Weinstein, but more about the image of a type of man Lana was trying to portray (as she said in an interview).. so I think it's hyperbolic like oo he's so rich etc and the fun lust part is the pre chorus and the beginning of the song but then at the end when Jon comes in it's like she's accepting it isn't good for her which she talked about in the second verse.. idk I've rambled a lot but it's a beautiful song

guys.. this guy went all the way up to the mountains to experience ldr9 and live tweet his reaction and you can slowly see his battery dying and then he just stopped tweeting after fingertips.. i think his phone died so he only got to hear the slow and sad half of the album and now he's probably stuck on a mountain with no phone battery.. tragic ik but i can't stop laughing i'm imagining someone with headphones plugged in ready to experience the amazing new album from pop star lana del rey and halfway through.. BOOM 💥 STUCK ON A HUGE MOUNTAIN WITH NO ALBUM TO LISTEN TO AND NO PHONE

lana probably doesn't want to get sued.. we don't know much about lana's relationship with her mom but we know it's bad and you never know if she'd sue for defamation - her prior references to her mother within her music or in general aren't directly disparaging (aside from wildflower but that wouldn't really work for a defamation case when this lyric might) i think the fact that people can sue artists for defamation for singing about their experiences is terrible but that's just how it is.. lana would likely win a theoretical case like that but it would still be a valid case and she might not want to deal with it but that's just my guess, lala could have just been in a mood, who knows
