    I think they like her because of Everything is Embarassing, Dev sent the song already finished to them and Pitchfork leaked to the world with exclusivity. And she also showed some Masochism tracks to them

    We can say anything about Sky, but let's be real, she is kinda of a pop music expert, almost all of her songs sounds like instant classics and have great choruses, she knows what she's doing with her sound

    there are many musicians throughout history who just released 1 great album then never released a follow-up . it’s best to just think of Sky as one of them at this point :oprah3:

    I wouldn't even care about Sky if she didn't have posted snippets of the songs some years ago... I just need that songs, after I get them I will just pretend she retired forever

    I really don't believe that rumours that she stole songwriting credits just because of the Justin Raisen demos leaking and a indie singer who hates her saying this. If she really stole credits i don't think she would have such a good professional relatioship producers, like Ariel, Justin and Jorge

    The girl managed to go #1 on the iTunes Store within minutes after NTMT was released and her stuff is always positively acclaimed by numerous magazines and music websites. Capitol isn’t $tupid, they know that. If Sky releases something that is bomb, even after all these years, it won’t be the next “We Belong Together” but it will still be successful.

     

    Exactly, like, Guardian, Don't Forget and Descending, these songs would be enough to create a good hype to Sky even after almost a decade.

     

    Pitchfork would be such a helpful ally to Sky at this point, they love her

    My guess: Since record deals are just a loan you have to pay back before starting to make any money, they invested in her pop stuff at the beginning of the career and she didn't make that money back, then she decided to switch to an alt sound which isn't appealing to the general public, and they didn't want to support that since it won't make them the amount of money they want, she probably shaded the wrong ego and she is being shelved till she is too old to have a career. Basically they don't want to pay for production, promo, videos and releases cause it won't make money and she fucked with the wrong people who are holding grudges against her. And probably there is something in her 500 pages contract that is forbiding her to speak out and explain what is happening. You don't want to mess with the rich people

    This time I will believe in Sky, but I really don't think she will get the answers in 14 days.

     

    She said in july/august that she was waiting for the label give her a date to release her new single, maybe this is the answer she is waiting... Like... She's already waiting for months, they will not give her a date now...
