I think the grants will be less about her siblings and current times and more so inspired by her father, his siblings, and her grandparents. If you recall she posted a short story / poem back in February "How we built a home" it starts with "My dad and his brothers built my grandma and grandpa's house out of giant Lincoln logs. We lived at the bottom of Cobble hill with our very own trail up to the top of the smallest mountain in the Adirondacks. It was cold in the summer so the fire was always burning and every time I drive through Monte Nido it's full of wood-fire smoke and it reminds me of their house and the Giant owls that would hoo all night long." I feel like these photos and stories influenced her and I'm honestly getting 60s/70s ethereal night time camp fire Jame's Tayloresque vibes. I can imagine her singing about this in sort of a story teller type of way.

I think this completely destroys the purpose of the song and makes it nearly unlistenable. The way it's currently produced puts an emphasis on the way she says certain things and how they're said which is incredibly important in understanding the song. Every part of the arrangement is nearly different as the song progresses in an extremely meaningful way. The added UV production is repetitive and aimless and not conducive to the concept, feeling, or writing and this is an excellent example of why Lana is Lana and we are not!

the album is too long for meeeee. she's definitely talented but I guess I expected something different since there was a 5 year wait. I think there's a lot of similarity between the songs that makes them hard to differentiate on a first listen. I feel like on her first album each song had such a punch and a burning passion and her voice was so clear and soaring. I'll have to give it another listen when I'm driving in my car.

I actually think there's drugs in this song. But to be for real, I sob every time I hear the line “when’s it gunna be my turn.” I’ve felt the most depressed I’ve ever felt the past couple years. Seeing people around me experience good luck, career growth, love, and acceptance. I moved from a big city to the suburbs after heartbreak and I’ve been so alone and struggled with alcoholism and was in the hospital at one point. The only recurrent thought in my head was "When will it be my turn? When will I be loved? When will I be seen for who I am?" I feel like because of my age I've had this unique experience to grow with Lana’s music in a very relevant way as each album gets released. I think the song is incredibly special, it completely unravels me and I hear what she’s saying deep within me like it's vibrating. I’m so excited to hear the rest of the album and to go on this journey with her. Anyways, would love to hear everyone's personal connection to the new song or how it's been making you feel!!!!!!!!

I'm gunna guess that the alternative indie store exclusive (green vinyl) will end up being the most limited since there will only be a certain amount of pressings sent to certain shops. places like target, amazon, etc are huge retailers and will definitely receive more stock than the independent record shops.
